Friendliness of Isabel the owner, but her husband was not so friendly. They did make us a snack when we arrived late but charged us 42€ which included a bottle of wine. It was a very quiet location which we liked. Breakfast was very poor and the coffee rank. We will be sending in an official complaint once we have all the photos. Time switches and I bumped my head when the time switch did not give us enough time to get into the room. We must have had the worst room in the hotel. The bathroom was disgusting and the headboard was a piece of natural on the wall behind the bed. For £97 a night I expected much more than this. Photos to follow.

Hosts were superbly friendly. Very dog friendly. They also have animals that are beautifully cared for.
I had asked a twin bed room and had received an OK. But the room we got was a 2 bed room. However this was rather quickly corrected and we got the most beautiful room (304) with a great view on the castle.
There is a very good restaurant in the hotel. It opens at 19 hours, which, for Spain, is early.
The breakfast was also good. A genuine waiter would have probably even made eggs, but we were satisfied with was right there.
Casa Claddagh is a 9-minute walk from the train stationi, somewhat up hill. I enjoyed my stay. The bed & pillows were comfortable. Hot shower available. There's a place to hang clothes. There's a kitchen & dining room on the ground floor. There's also a tereza with a fabulous view as well a view of the Sax castle at the top of the hill. Sax in general is a quiet town and the people are friendly.
I have stayed in this hotel before. The hotel is clean, modern and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves traditional Spanish food and has a great selection of wines also The COVID measure are good and thought through. Note; This is not a package holiday type hotel.
We didn’t know that a grand final soccer match was on, and the hotel restaurant was thus pretty much booked out. Nevertheless, they found us a table, and we had a lovely meal. The room was much larger than we expected, a really nice hotel. And a castle out the window!
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was big and very clean. I lost one earring in the room and the cleaning staff found it and put it in a visible place for me to find it. In general a very good hotel, I was surprised it was only 3 stars.
Room was big with a huge comfortable bed. 2 small bottles of water were waiting to be used.
To food in the hotel restaurant was first class and the waiters very helpful as we are still learning Spanish.
Spotlessly clean, polite staff, lovely breakfast.Didnt eat other meal in hotel this time but have done before. A gem in a the lovely friendly town of Sax.
