Quiet relaxing place to recharge and use as a base for exploring the island. there are some authentic Spanish restaurant's and some great cafes. There isnt a night life kind of place but somewhere to enjoy your days and relax. You need a car here, its easy to get around and plenty of supermarkets. The beaches are unspoilt, no sunbeds but there are alot of nudists about. No shops near the beaches so take a picnic. Definitely visit the b.e.a.c.h shop on the high street for some great home pieces

Lajares itself doesn’t have a lot to offer. Need to use the car all the time. It is better to stay in El Cotillo. Unless you want to be close to the specific beaches. I would not recommend more than 2-3 days there.
If in the area go to “Panaceta”, great bakery in Lajares.

The people here are very kind and welcoming.
The people here are very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you see lots of surfers. After a surfing trip, Lajares is the perfect location to get some really good food. Don't worry if you are not a surfer. You can run, hike and bike here, too. You can also take a hike and visit a nearby volcano. In total, this is the perfect spot if you want to visit Fuerteventura. You have lots of houses to choose from and Corralejo is only a 15min ride away. El Cotillo, a surfer's paradise, is also just 15min away.

Beautiful town with some really good restaurants and coffee shops. La Boqueria was a particular favourite. Great tapas and Iberian pork. La Canela was nice for a drink, good music and gets busy when there's live music.

Because Lajares is not on the coast, it did not feel as “touristy” as the coastal villages and towns. However there are still plenty of places to eat (although you have to note the inevitable ‘one night a week closed’ for each restaurant and plan accordingly,) Good bakeries, a handy supermarket, everything within walking distance. Many lovely walks can be started from Lajares. La Bodega restaurant is a cut above the rest. If you did not have a car, bus service Correlejo to El Cotillo is very frequent. There is only one bicycle hire shop but sadly they do not have many bikes (that was our only disappointment)
We had a great week in the villa. Everything was perfect in the house. We particularly enjoyed all the outside space. Front and back garden plus rooftop terrace let you enjoy the sun all day long. The house itself has everything you need for a nice stay. It's very quiet at night and the comfortable bed let you enjoy a good night sleep. Check in and check out were really easy. Julianne and her husband provided lots of valuable information about the area and tye house. Would definitely recommend staying here.
The Casa Encanto was a perfect choice for a family holiday! The place is situated in very calm surroundings, with access to an almost private pool (I think we were the only ones using it during our stay) and also free access to an Aquapark next to main hotel. The villa has a great garden to relax in the morning as well as facilities that make you feel at home (coffee machine, Netflix, etc.). Whenever we come back to Fuertaventura, we will easily choose Casa Encanto for our stay 🫶
Beautiful apartment in lovely Lajares. Clean and well equipoed. Small pool with sun beds in a sheltered, sunny spot. Wine, tea, coffee, cola and chocolates on arrival. Felt very welcoming. Well placed for several walks in the area such as the Calderon Hondo trail, El Cotillo and La Olvera. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.I was able to arrange a late checkout as we were waiting for a bus to Puerto del Rosario. Really couldn't fault anything.
Lovely Villa set in a wonderful complex with all amenities you would require. Very friendly welcoming staff. If required you can use the Hotel facilities for a resonable price. Enjoyed our evenings relaxing with a BBQ after our trips. We used the Pool a couple of times, however it wasn't heated, invigorating, a bit of cold water swimming in January. We had our own hire car which is a bonus if you want to explore the island.
Amazing! Lovely garden, breezy terrace with comfy outdoor sitting area, private swimming pool, fully equipped house with spacious rooms, great bakery nearby. The surroundings of Lajares are spectacular - we loved the walk to the vulcano, the kids couldn't have more fun with a camel walk. Lajares is a great base for exploring the island. We stayed for five days, would stay longer if we could.
We chose Aqua Guest House when exploring north part of the island. It is located just few steps from the volcano, few km from the beaches and cities like El Cotillo and Corralejo. The apartment has everything that you need during your stay in Fuerteventura. There are places to eat next door and you can easily walk to the Lajares town. We really enjoyed it there.Thank you. :)
We had been to their villas at the Bahiazul complex two years ago and when we received an email from Renato saying that they had 4 brand new villas in Lajares, we couldn't say no. It is all new, the heated pool is like a dream and the level of details and good tasty in general is truly something else. Renato was extremelly helpful and kind. Thank you all
Great location for us to be near the north track for surfing and not too far a drive to Lajares and Cotillo.
Good clean accommodation and great price - like the useful little kitchen and bathroom packs.
Hardly saw anyone else in the shared pool, nice and quiet. Basketball court was handy for our boys.
We were lucky finding some available days in this property. The hosts Pepe and Yaiza are very nice and helpful. The property itself is very pretty and functional. Amazing interior and exterior spaces. Right in the heart of Lajares. This is the first time we give a 10/10 for a property.

Excellent location near bakery supermarket and bus stops. Easy to find. Lovely clean room with fridge and kettle. Nice patio to sit on with table and chairs. It’s a great spot in lovely Lajares.
Really nice and quiet park with great apartments. The place is ideal for relaxation. There are also a lot of fun options around the hotel. Great pools, tennis court, mini golf, etc.
