I was so surprised by this hotel as the reviews previously had given it quite low scores. We found it so welcoming, the room was a good size, it was quiet and clean. The reception staff were so helpful.

It is an excellent alternative to staying in Barcelona, which is much more expensive, while from this hotel in Mataro, one can easily reach Barcelona by train or car. We absolutely loved the location surrounded by nature with amazing views across the village to the sea. The salt water pool is a treat! The grounds are beautifully kept and instill a sense of peace. The building is gorgeous with lots of nice zones for relaxing. The staffing was minimal while we were there, but this suited us fine as it felt even more relaxed.
