Small place in picturesque and convenient location. Friendly host, nice breakfast. The host helped us to park near the hotel as it was on Sunday and the parking was full. Bus stop for the lakes is less than 10 minutes walk. WiFi worked fine.

A really interesting area that was unexpectedly busy.
A really interesting area that was unexpectedly busy. This is a really popular spot for mainly Spanish tourism as far as I could tell.
The monastery was fantastic as were the lakes that really are worth the 9 euro bus ride to get to (the only way up aside from walking or cycling).

A cute tiny city with amazing views. 15-20 mins by bus to the famous Lagos de Covadonga (lakes). I recommend taking bus as the roads are narrow and might be difficult to drive. There are restaurants, hotels and free parking. Ideal for those who want to visit Lagos de Covadonga. Also, there is a breathtaking church in the mountains.

We didn't spend much time in the city and went straight to the lakes.
make sure to have at least 2 hours there!!! such an amazing view! the lakes themselves, the mountains and the animals (cows and sheep) walking around is just breathtaking.
Keep in mind that in peak seasons cars are not allowed to go up to the lakes, and honestly the trip is a bit scary, so you can take the bus or take a taxi with a few people. but take in mind that the taxis only stay there for about 45 minutes and then take you back down, which is just not enough time.

Unfortunately visited at a very busy time-major religious festival as well as still apparently school holidays.
The lakes are lovely,as is the surrounding scenery. The buses were good and frequent.
The area closest to the buses were quite busy but we were able to walk properly away from crowds.
This is a small rural hotel right across from the Covadonga Sanctuaria. As is typical with small locally-owned hotels, the room is small and simple. The setting is delightful and convenient to the National Park and Congas de Onis (lovely town with some good restaurants). Those who complain about the humidity at the hotel need to understand - it rains a lot here and it’s humid! You can tell from the abundance of ferns and moss! We loved the hospitality, breakfast, and the peace and quiet.
- beautiful house in the mountains, surrounded by forest
- convenient parking
- view of the Covadonga sanctuary
- stylish décor, both the antique furniture and modern bedding and cushions
- good location for the trip to the lakes
- nice hosts - the owner who arranged a convenient check in for me when I was late and her parents who were very helpful during breakfast and gave me good advice on how to plan my day in the area
- nice and quiet terrace and garden
- very clean, smelled nice
Very friendly staff, amazing location (15 mins by bus to Covadonga lakes), the bus stop is near the hotel. Tasty food in the restaurant (I fell in love with the bread) and huge portions. Very quiet (it’s near the road but at night there is no noise). Amazing view from the room. Breakfast was nice as well, a lot of sweets to choose. The first night was a bit cold and the manager turned on heating especially for us. We didn’t want to leave as we felt like at home :-).
Our room was on the top floor with ceiling windows such that natural light could seep into the room. Very clean room and quiet surroundings for a good night sleep. We could not stay for breakfast because we wanted to enter the lakes before it is closed off to cars. The hotel packed simple picnic food the night before so we could have it as breakfast the next day.
Bea brought us coffee, fruit, and pastries the night before as we were departing prior to breakfast. The location for historic Covadonga and the Lagos was superior. Quiet location that allowed for sleep post and pre hiking long days back to back in Picos. To that extent as well, amazing showers after long days on the trail and super comfortable bed.
Location is perfect for a visit to the Covadonga Lakes. Public parking was very convenient (small parking before and slightly parking available right after Casa Aspron). The house itself (including the rooms) is very cosy, characteristic, neat and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and definitely more than enough for us.
Small husband & wife run hotel—they put so much care and love into what they do. Humble, simple place but full of kindness and with great insider tips about the local area. Plus amazing coffee & breakfast spread, such good quality. Local specialties + croissants that are better than in France!
Everything was excellent from the cleanliness to the breakfast and Jorge the owner who was very helpful.
The location is Perfect to see the Monastery of Covadonga and to park just inside the nature reserve to go and visit the lakes without any restrictions.
Thank you for a wonderful stay
Lovely small family-run hotel in spectacularly scenic location a short walk from Covadonga’s Cueva Santa and Basilica. We arrived late at the end of a 6-day hiking trip and the hotelier was very gracious and helpful. Our favorite hotel during a week in Northern Span.
Small place in picturesque and convenient location. Friendly host, nice breakfast. The host helped us to park near the hotel as it was on Sunday and the parking was full. Bus stop for the lakes is less than 10 minutes walk. WiFi worked fine.
Gorgeous hotel, lovely staff and all around superb experience. We had a big room with a view of the cathedral, mountains and cave. It doesn’t get better then that. Thank you for your hospitality.
