We just stopped in Cervera for a night on our way from Barcelona airport to the Pyrenees (late flight). We found it to be a great stopover since it does not require any detour, the atmosphere was very tranquil and the town main square was very beautiful.
If you like to "taste" the life of a small-non-touristic towns in your destination and look for a place to stay on your way north, Cervera is a good option,
