Beautiful grounds: The hotel grounds are lovely and well-maintained. (Although a bit close to the highway.)
Breakfast selection: For a boutique hotel, the breakfast options were plenty and delicious.
Bathroom layout: Having a separate toilet room was a nice touch.
Overall Impression:
This hotel has the potential to be a fantastic stay in Marbella. The staff were mostly friendly, and the breakfast was very good. However, there are some areas that could be improved to justify the 5-star rating and higher pricing, especially considering the amenities offered by other luxury resorts in the area.

Where to start!
Where to start! We were looked after from the moment we arrived. It is without doubt my happy place in this world. Burkhard, Margo, Nick and Grita look after you like nowhere else. Food is amazing. We stayed 4 nights and ate in the restaurant 3 nights. Only missed 1 night as we ate with family at their apartment. Breakfast also is out of this world. All freshly prepared. Thank you Margo. Accommodation wise we were upgraded to the Horse Thief's room. It was fantastic. And we found the hidden treasure!
We have dined at Amanhavis on several occasions in the past and it has always been excellent. Always wanted to stay and so glad we did. It is without doubt an unforgettable experience. Thank you to all for making it so and we look forward to visiting again!

Benahavís is a special white pueblo packed with restaurants and bars nestled in the National park with stunning views. There are plenty of choices of food traditional Spanish, Mediterranean, Indian, Thai, Italian and English. Our favourite bar is La Bodega which has a pretty courtyard and good choices of cocktails and wine. Too many favourite restaurants they are all good with a variety of price ranges. It has a park which has a small amphitheatre and La Hermita both of which occasionally have events on. Plenty of hill walking and a special trail over the ancient aqueduct. There is also a canyon trail involving walking and swimming. Benahavís is hilly and some of the streets are steep so not great if you have walking difficulties.

Choice of restaurants is vast as are types, i.e.
Choice of restaurants is vast as are types, i.e. Mediterranean, seafood, pizza, tapas etc at varying cost to suit all pockets. Children are always welcome and the locals are friendly. You will enjoy the mountain scenery although those less mobile may have difficulty with the hillside setting. There are many facilities/amenities from golf to hill walking, canyoning, wildlife watching etc. If you choose to stay longer term then register at the Ayuntamiento (townhall) for free access to the sports facilities.
Many amenities, easy access to preferred locations, the restaurant at the resort is fine, not far to a good grocery, everyone was very friendly, walked several times to Pueblo Benahavis, and most importantly, Alex was terrific. He met us when we arrived, when we departed, kept in touch throughout our month long stay without being in the least intrusive, and was quick to offer advice or assistance if we needed it.
Very quiet and nice neighborhood, the apartment is very nice as well and had all the facilities you would need for an extended stay. You will need transportation, but once you have that it is an easy 10-20 minutes to Benahavis town, Puerto Banus, San Pedro & Marbella. Very near to Benahavis hiking trails & golf courses. Would book again!
location is very safe and quiet and has beautifull views to mountain and sea . there is a small cafeteria with friendly staff that serves breakfast and lunch .the village of benahavis is very nice in the evening (wine and dine )perfect housing for families with children and in the possession of a car
Elaine our host provided excellent service on a daily basis over our 10day stay. The breakfast was prepared with fresh fruit /juice and fresh bread eggs
ham etc and green tea.Our stay was way better than in large hotel. The location was surrounded by excellent restraunts and bars.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and is just a short walk to the main part of Benahavis. Very nice to have a garden to sit in , definitely recommend. Very good communication from Sonia as well
A hidden gem in the foothills above Marbella. the cozy hotel offers a quiet but well located respite from the overbuilt coast. the staff is very efficient and the house restaurant is fabulous!
