This is a small rural hotel that is in need of some updating. Our bathroom was very modern, super clean.
Reception staff were pleasant and they have a fridge and coffee machine in a communal area for guest use.

Nice town with two interesting churches and a selection of bistro style restaurants. Semi pedestrianised centre with fountains etc. Museum looks interesting although it was closing when I got there.
We really liked the overall ambiance in the hotel, in a kind of old English style. The facilities (pool, lounge, parking, ...) were absolutely tremendous. We can certainly enjoy these of hotels, and I would recommend anyone to do so, while these hotels still exist, because they might be a dying breed (I hope not). The staff was helpfull enough, friendly, but also a bit to the point. The breakfast is plenty and pleasant (altough very crowdy, see negatives). There are a enough spot to charge your EV (Clever or Spirri App recommended).
Everything was great. Hostess is super nice and helpfull. You can enjoy a little time with animals from rescue shelter, like snow foxes, alpacas, donkeys and parrots. It was great we could wash and dry our bicycle clothes as we arrived at the The Parrot Hotel on our bicycle tour
from Berlin to Copenhagen.
What I liked the most was the breakfast with a wide selection of dishes.
There is ample parking space at the back of the hotel.
Dinner in the in-house restaurant was excellent.
I did not make use of it but there is a cosy wellness area.
