This is a wonderful old historical hotel situated in a wooded are at the foot of a lot of hiking trails. The front desk person was a wonderful man who was incredibly accommodating given our late arrival, making an exception with regard to the late night menu and allowing us to relax from our long trip to go pick up a car in the next town over. The hotel itself is a like a throwback in time. It felt like we were back in the movie “Holiday Inn” with wonderful antique furniture, old photos on the wall, and great music from a time gone by. So much history within these walls yet the hotel room has all the modern conveniences and amenities. The grounds are beautiful and scenic with a lake leading into the hiking hills. A nice outdoor beer garden and lots of places to socialize or just isolate and relax.

We spent one night here on our way to Berlin. The triple room with crib is spacious and very clean. The bed is comfortable and you can order the breakfast a night before.

Friendly family-owned hotel with adequate facilities. Small private parking lot at the back (and a big free one in front). Breakfast was good to get started in the morning. Bad Meinberg has a good location to all the sights offered in the surroundings.
The hotel staff were super nice and the view from our balcony was beautiful. The hotel is in a great location right next to the forest. There was even easy bus transport to the city. Also breakfast was really good
