The location is the main advantage of the hotel. It is close to the highway Prague - Nürnberg. The relationship price/standard is okay. A shopping centre nearby is another advantage. I spent one night there and continued my business trip.

Anyone who wants to escape the Prague tourist throng should consider Krivoklat. Everyone goes to Karlstejn (30 minutes away), but that castle is overrun by tourists. This is one of those rare places in Europe where the castle is almost bigger than the town--which is a good thing! I've been going there for years for an escape from Prague summers (overrun by tourists). Krivoklat is a hilly, forested place with a river winding through a narrow valley and a castle perched atop a central hill. Lots of hiking trails and scenic views.
The staff, especially the hostess, were totally friendly and welcoming. They asked if I wanted anything changed, anything they could do to suit me. (Answer, no, all wonderful.) Krivoklat - what a superb location; picturesque, lovely walking trails, peace, tranquillity, one of the most mentally healthy places I have ever been. The hotel restaurant served really good meals.
The house is located in a quiet/remote village; pick-up at the train station was arranged. Very easy communication. Big room in a large house, private bathroom. Breakfast in the garden. Nice walk to Krivoklat castle. The owner has plenty of tips and everyone helps you whenever you have a question or need.
Discreet and efficient owner, flawless communication, he could always arrange things the way we liked and needed.
Location of the house is excellent with a view on Krivoklat castle, nearby touristic marked tracks.
Rich breakfast.
Beautiful location with large, comfortable rooms and a sauna! The food was great and the host was exceptional. He made our visit very memorable. We will definitely return to Hotel Kolonie.
Breakfast was really nice. The coffee could be better but overall the breakfast was satisfying. The room was clean. The hotel and staff was really nice and we enjoyed the stay.
