Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I thought the bed was very comfortable and the room was very cute. perfect location in the village. I ate in the restaurant and felt the food was good and the prices were fair. The village is very beautiful and I would definitely come back here!

The staff welcomed us with a glass of champagne (or some sort of sparkling white wine) as we arrived which was incredible after a long day of hiking. The food at the restaurant was amazing! The staff was incredible knowledgeable about wines as well and recommended some amazing local wine. Most comfortable bed of our whole European trip! I can't wait to go back.

We booked two rooms during our 4-day skiing trip to Splügen, which is a mere 5-minute drive from the slopes. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. I was able to drop my skis off 2 days before our arrival and again leave our gear for an extra couple of days after our stay. When we asked for some hot water to make tea, the hotel manager gave us a little kettle!
After a full day's skiing, it was wonderful to have a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant and the free breakfast was also sufficient and good to set us up for the day.
Although the bathrooms were a bit old-fashioned, the water pressure was amazing so that showering was a real luxury.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for families with kids as an unpretentious, easy-going, friendly and perfect stay.

Splügen is a place worth a visit.
Splügen is a place worth a visit. High up in the Swiss Alps, it's air is clean and the scenery is dramatic in whichever direction you look. Lots of hiking in Summer, some skiing in Winter and everywhere is peace and tranquility.
Hotel Suretta truly exceeded all of my expectations during my stay. The breathtaking morning view from my window was absolutely stunning, creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere that made every moment unforgettable. The attention to detail and comfort provided by the hotel was exceptional, and the breakfast they served was nothing short of delicious. The combination of the warm and welcoming staff, the comfortable accommodations, and the overall ambiance made my experience at Hotel Suretta truly remarkable.
it was right on Route 6 bike trail. but more importantly was the staff. we had been cycling for 7 hours in heavy rains and the route was all uphill. when we arrived at the hotel dripping wet, the staff took our clothes and dried them. we then found out the San Bernardino Pass was closed to cyclists as there was too much snow. so the staff helped us with figuring out the bus for the next day and one that would take bikes. the staff were really very very kind.
The situation for cycling the Splügen pass is incomparable!!
The welcome, the check-in was friendly and seamless.
The room spacious and comfortable…
No ‘frills’ i.e. no tea making facilities, no hairdryer… only hand soap and shampoo dispenser in shower..
The sauna and pool are excellent for a hotel of this size… and they even kept it on for us as we missed out (due to Covid restrictions on allowing only 2 in the sauna at a time)
The renovation of this old large building is beautiful, maybe not too practical for a hotel, but beautiful.
The village of Splugen is quaint and lovely, the ski area is really nice with plenty of runs, my first time back in over 40 years, great job on the new runs!
The hotel staff is awesome, especially Judith, the all around hotel host! Great restaurant, incredibly picturesque.
A great place. We've arrived with bicycles coming through the Splügenpass. It was raining so we arrived soaking wet. The stuff has invited us and shown a secure place to store our bicycles. There's a great restaurant in the building and it's in the middle of Splügen - which actually is not all that difficult since that's a very small village. The breakfast was fantastic!
Hotel Suretta was so cozy – exactly what we were looking for as we passed through Switzerland! The room was quiet and clean with AMAZING views from the front window, and the bed was so comfy. The restaurant was great too – dinner gave us a chance to try some Swiss cuisine, and the included breakfast was big and well-rounded.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was adequate and served with a smile. We had dinner here as well and it was delicious. Highly recommend. Splügen is a hidden gem of a village in Switzerland.
Interesting place in a historic building overlooking beautiful village of Splügen but design only doesn’t make a quality hotel…. Confortable bed, basic Swiss Breakfast, nice views.
very convenient for travellers moving from Italy to Germany/Switzerland could be a nice spot to stay, easy to reach, parking close by the restaurant at the hotel is ok.
Friendly hotel with an excellent restaurant. A great base from which to explore the walking in the area which is excellent and the stunning Splugen pass.
