The hotel is new and very nice. Room was spacious and comfortable, ideal for our group of three.
There is an amazing spa area with two jacuzzi, two sauna, relax area, all is included in the stay.
The hotel has also three different restaurants, each with different cuisine. There is also very nice bar just next to the hotel. We loved the restaurant where they serve traditional dishes from local canton, food was delicious!
Fitted with wood panelling, the non-smoking rooms at Hotel Duncan in Davos Monstein offer a private bathroom with a shower. Free Wi-Fi and free parking is available.
Filisur is a lovely, quiet location. It is easily accessible by car or train.
It is very popular with travellers who enjoy the comfort of the train and enjoy special trips with for example the Bernina Express or the Apline Express.
Skiing is possible not too far away.
It is also a great location for walkers.

Easy to get to by an excellent train service from three directions. Good walks to the Landwasser viaduct and further afield. The town itself is small and quite steep - certainly not the place for a shopper to come to, but great for walks, views, and as a base for exploring the area by train.

The only friendly person - the girl, working at the train station Filisur:
on the evening of our arrival at the weekend, only in her cafe we were able to buy a sandwich and cheesecake, warm up in the cozy lobby near the wood-burning stove, before leaving she printed out the schedule of our train to Zurich airport for us, she is a real welcoming hostess! We don't know her name, but we are very grateful to her!

A very pretty and quaint town.
A very pretty and quaint town. It is a great location for train enthusiasts as its train station offers historical train rides to Davos, and you can take an easy hike from here to different viewpoints of the world famous Landwasser Viaduct. The Raetia Restaurant offers excellent meals that are thoroughly enjoyable.
Our favorite place to stay is the Schöntal Hotel with its great rooms and friendly athmosphere.
There is also a Spa close by as well as A Golf course for complete relaxation.
We booked 2 single room with shared bathroom, we were upgraded to a double room with bathroom and balcony. The room is clean and spacious with tv,radio with alarm and table with chair. Bathroom is big enough with a bathtub ,toiletries and hairdryer.
They have elevator if you have big luggages to carry.
Near the train station but a steep climb up if you have big luggages you better walk to the next bus station and take the bus to the train station.
They have grocery store just right at the entrance to the hotel.
Well- recommended for those who seek to spend few days away of the cowdee cities.
I stayed here for 6 days .
The hotel and experience that I had in this place is unforgettable. The restaurant is fantastic and their European and Thai menu is amazing.
The owner Mr. BRUNO and his wife are friendly they treat every gust as one of their family.
I will start planning for my next trip, this hotel will be my distinction
The hotel is very close the told town which is a UNESCO registered place.
Amazing..amazing
I didn't have much interaction with staff as there was no one at the hotel when I walked in. It took me a while to notice there was a piece of paper with my name on it and a key on a counter. I guess it's really safe there. Dinner - food was really really delicious, but the service was meh. They did let us leave the luggage in the morning after checking out while we hiked and before catching a train. That was helpful.
The owners were very friendly and the location in the village of Filisur is very good. Liked the ability to open the window and look out onto the street. The free transport pass enabled me to take the bus to Davos and back. Breakfast was excellent - including the very fine coffee. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night - very tasty food and I recommend the home made tomato soup.
My partner and I arrived at the hotel almost around midnight (we called the hotel to let them know our arrival time beforehand) and the staff was awake waiting for us. Check in and check out was quick, the staff was friendly, the location of the place was super pretty, our room was small, but cozy room with everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and fulfilling.
It’s in a beautiful location, the Glacier Express stops there, which is way I chose it. You get a railway card from the hotel which I used to go to Davos which was free. Also you can go to the famous Landwasser Viaduct, there is little train to take you there. Would definitely go back. The staff are friendly, breakfast was good. The restaurant food was excellent.
The lady at check in was super friendly and nice. The room view was amazing. Rooms were so clean. The attached restaurant served us an amazing meal and was super helpful at interpreting the menu. Breakfast was superb. The owner drove us up to the station to avoid the very steep walk with our bags, so nice.
Breakfast was basic-yogurt, bread, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffees, meats, cheeses. There is a grocery store across the street (not open on Sunday). Wonderful hiking trail to view the Landwasser Viaduct from below and many other hiking trails steps away from the hotel.
The staff is super friendly, recommended us the way to the surrounding attractions.
Offered us a ride to the train station as well due to our large baggage size.
This place is good alternative if you cant secure any hotel at St Moritz during peak season.
Great hotel right next to the railroad track, perfect for trainspotters and to explorer the Bernina line. Railfans will have a blast watching the historic trains passing by the station. Great starting point to eh the Landwasser viaduct.
Great location, fantastic staff, great service and very good drink and meal service. Loved meeting the lovely Thai lady owner of the hotel such a lovely person. Newly refurbished private bathroom was very good
