There are some gorgeous parts on the edges of Penticton and the outskirts, like right down by the water, around Skaha, and Naramata. Inner Penticton offers lots of excellent and unique shopping opportunities. There are many walking and hiking opportunities, and their museum (in the Library) is among the best I've ever visited. However, there is a considerable problem with the homeless population which grows and grows. I'm concerned for them, clueless as to how to help, but also I feel uncomfortable and (at times) unsafe as I'm informed that the drug problem plays a part, and drugs make people unpredictable.

Just went there to explore some of the back roads around Penticton- OK Falls-Oliver Osoyoos area. I didn’t go there for the beaches or night life. BTW if you need emergency care for any reason don’t waste your time with walk in Clinics. Go straight to Hospital Emergency. At least you are dealing with professionals.

This is an absolutely gorgeous vacation place , love it and we go back every summer … I specially like going during their Peach Frstival, lots of activities and shows to see …. My favourite are the free night concerts, it’s a great place to enjoyed with friends and family ( even the teens/ young adults like it) Everything is close by so you can walk everywhere, the beach and beautiful lake just steps away from most motels …. It’s a magnificent place to visit Lots of great dinner options and most motels units have a little kitchen, you can save by cooking breakfast and lunch , snacks, drinks etc . WE LOVE PENTICTON 🥰🥰🥰

Despite a disappointing hotel we stayed in, we thoroughly enjoyed renting e-bikes and traveling the KVR for 6 hours. Visited the Abandoned Rail Brewing Co. and enjoyed a cold beer after a long and hot ride. Also try the Neighbourhood Brewing pub in town for great food! It was Peach Fest weekend, so the free music concert in the park was nice on a warm, breezy evening.

Touristy town with beautiful sandy beaches and a refreshing breeze. The Slumber Lodge is in a great location directly across from the beach. Everything is in close proximity and is very walkable. Check out Gyro Park (host to numerous events), the Farmers' Market and all the wonderful shopping and dining experiences. For some great Mexican food and atmosphere we recommend Tequilla Vallarta on Main Street. We look forward to our next visit!!!

Perfect location for an e-bike trip, Penticton is very central to the amazing network of Okanagan cycling trails. We did 158km in 3 days, cycling Penticton-Naramata, Chute Lake-Myra Canyon (Chute Lake area NOT recommended for cycling) and Oliver-Osoyoos. Penticton had everything we needed in terms of services and the hotel we stayed at was ideal. Most noteworthy: EVERYONE in this town (and I'm not referring to tourists, but locals) seems so HAPPY. Must be one of the most smiley-happy places. Loved our stay and the friendly people.

The hotel owner is above and beyond accommodating to the guests. The room was very clean and had all hard floors and tile which I really liked as compared to carpeted hotels. The beds were very comfortable and one bedroom had a separate door, a one bedroom suite with a second queen in main room. The fridge was clean and there was a full size stove and oven plus a bbq just outside which are more than adequate for storage cooking a complete meal.

Cute, nicely decorated room in a beach resort. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom with bathtub. You can see that everything has been renovated recently. Easy to find the place as well as check-in. Kendra and Shelly were quick to respond to my questions about the room, and even gave some great recommendations about the restaurants. Definitely would consider staying here again when in Penticton.

Nice hotel close to parks and the beach. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and they had a fridge and microwave in the room which was handy. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and a good temperature. Staff were friendly and helpful. * I left my drivers licence in the room and they called right away to tell me which I really appreciated

At -19 degrees out I would expect the room to be warm upon our arrival. Not only was it freezing in the room. 2 hours later it was still freezing. I called the owner and he told me it would take some time and he would see if he could find another heater. we really tried to support the little guys but ended up at another hotel. very disappointed.

It was the cheapest we could find but still wasn’t really worth the money, also it’s on the beach front for Okanagan lake, however it’s the farthest hotel from everything so there wasn’t really anything overly great about it

Hard to comment on this. It was so awful. There was partying all night. There was no hotel staff around to put it to and end. It was unclean and we just wanted to leave. We had no rest.

This old motel is ideally placed in Penticton very near the beach and pubs/restaurants. It is a little throwback to the 60's/ 70's when you did vacations with your family.
