Staff were friendly. It looked like someone had urinated all over the elevator or spilt coffee during the night and when I brought it to their attention they quickly had it cleaned.

This was a nice place to stay, convenient to everything in Kingston. There was no charge for our dogs to stay and we were on the ground floor, handy to take the dogs out. Also the room was not carpeted which was great for the dogs also. And there was grass and walkways/sidewalks suitable for a short dog walk early morning. Although there was no onsite restaurant, there were free muffins every morning (3 kinds) and free coffee and a variety of teas at all times. ( also close to a Tim Hortens and a convenience store). Our room was clean, a nice size - 2 Queen beds -and a good sized bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

Great friendly staff. Great parking. Great location.
We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier.
We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier. Also there was some good outlet shopping and mall shopping. Since it was only late April, a number of attractions were not open yet. Also, most places were dog friendly and staff came out to say “bring your dog in”. But we would suggest signage indicating dog friendly or not. ( A simple sign on each entrance to malls, for example.). We had our own car, so easy to get around, and no problem to find parking.

Surprisingly there were a lot of very good and high end restaurants. I was not expecting it during April. The 1000 island cruise was ok but not really something that you “must do” or experience. Recommended you take the ferry to Wolf Island (free) just for the ride (stay on and don’t get off at Wolf Island). The walking track along the river was a highlight. The trolly car was also worthwhile. You get to see a lot of the old buildings on the tour. Kingston history is fascinating. You can also go and walk around the University as well.

Kingston carries itself with the poise of a bigger city while remaining relatively small. Lots of Gothic Revival architecture for the art nerds (I include myself on that list) and a friendly atmosphere made Kingston a fun visit. Also some really good bars and restaurants for a town of its size. A worthwhile visit if traveling between Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa.

There are great walking trails along the waterfront and the downtown area was less than 10 minute walking distance and felt safe in the evening. The shops were varied and there were plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs to choose from.

It is a very walkabout city. Waterfront trail is a lovely place to stroll. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the downtown core. Lovely architecture in the old residential section. A few historical sites to visit, although open only seasonally.
Worth a visit

The city of Kingston is so littered with homeless peoples garbage everywhere spray paint on almost every corner and a general public are smoking so much carfentanol and enphetameins and if that isnt enough Kingston possessed no family values from city council on down and the cheif of police is responsible for nothing but a 460 million dollar budget and the university students acue one million in fines annually for their wild parties
I have stayed several times at the Green Acres, most recently for 6 nights while visiting family. I love it. Rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed--including microwave, coffee maker, plates/utensils, Wi-Fi, iPhone charger, cable tv, iron/ironing board, hairdryer--even bathrobes and a bud vase with flowers in the bathroom. Location is great for anyone with family or business in the northern part of Kingston, and it's a short and easy drive to downtown. There's also a pond with a beaver dam on the property!
We were close to downtown. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The room was well stocked.
The tv was kind of small but it was ok. I liked having fridge and microwave. We didn't know there was breakfast if there was - not sure. It was a little more than what I wanted to pay but certainly less expensive that other places. Parking was a bonus. Free Wifi was good. Water and snacks in the lobby - nice touch. Lots of information on what to see and do in Kingston and surrounding areas.
This hotel was better than I was expecting, having read some of the reviews. It is a bit tired but it was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was a good size and lots of nice hot water. There were comfortable chairs outside the room and it was pleasant to drink a G&T in the late afternoon sun with a bit of a view to the lake. Best of all was proximity to Bella Bistro which did fab take-out for tired travellers. We drove through Kingston the next day and I was so glad I hadn't stayed there.
Waterfront/downtown location was great. Right beside Confederation Park with trolly tours pick up point and tour boat docks. Many restaurants nearby. Included breakfast was better than expected for a cold boxed meal. Office to pick up vouchers for prepaid tours and cruises is located directly across the street from hotel. Highly recommend a waterview room. Staff were all very accommodating.
Nice location close to Lake Ontario Park. Downtown Kingston within walking distance for someone like me who likes to walk a lot. Close to neighbourhoods with sidewalks. Room was a very good size for a solo traveller. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was great to have a private bathroom, most university residences have a common bathroom down the hall.
Good stay in Kingston. Lots of parking available. Very close to Highway 401, and downtown Kingston, but no outside noise. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The room was clean when we arrived. We didn't stay for breakfast but looked like there were a few options to indulge in. I'll keep this one in mind for future travels.
Hotel was ok, but it seems newer from outside than inside. Shower curtain was dirty and I'm not sure the bathroom had been cleaned. Room was small for 2 queen beds and they were not the comfiest. It's about 20 minutes from downtown Kingston so not ideal. Price was reasonable but next time I'll spend a bit more and stay elsewhere.
The hotel is off the 401 - not in Kingston - which is great is you're breaking up a journey and don't need to be in Kingston. It's spacious, comfortable and clean with a gym and a small indoor pool. Staff were very helpful, breakfast was basic and coffee/tea freely available.
Very clean hotel. Quiet too! Room and bathroom very clean. Everything was updated. Staff were efficient and helpful. Great array of foods for breakfast. Hotel was 10 minutes from downtown Kingston. Very convenient but far enough away to be quiet. We had a very restful sleep.
It’s an updated hotel. I’ve stayed in Kingston several times and this is one of the nicer hotels and much better value for money than other hotels. Nice bistro in lobby area that is licensed. Also only 8 minutes from downtown.
Check in went smoothly and early check in was accommodated. The room was spacious with a good bathroom and closet. Express check out was provided. Location is excellent for access to downtown Kingston.
The location and how close it was to downtown Kingston and Queens University. The style of the facility and the ambiance. Staff were fantastic given the pandemic. I commend them for this.
Very soft and comfortable beds, I slept well. :)
If you are traveling by car, the hotel is close to the beautiful downtown.
There is a fridge in the room which was a big plus for us. :)
The room and the location of the hotel was perfect, we had come to Kingston for the first time as my son will be joining Queens University, so found the location and hotel excellent.
