Full breakfast available, egg with cheese inside, bacon, sausage, waffles with strawberries and whipped cream plus all the usual coffee, juices, cereal, yogurts and fruit. One of the best breakfast. Rooms very clean and comfortable, highly recommend. Walmart across street for supplies if needed.

There are some pretty decent restaurants there, Kin Park was a nice area to take my dog for a walk. There is a small mall which is ok for a small town. Otherwise not a lot to do unless the rodeo is there. But it is Mile Zero of the Alaska Highway!

City is clean and people I met were friendly and helpful. Enough shopping options to get what you need because you forgot to pack it. Only complaint like a lot of Canadian towns in summer, plenty of road construction to slow down travel times.

We liked the museum.
We liked the museum. We enjoyed travelling around the countryside It is so pretty. All the green & yellow. Very easy to drive around Dawson Creek. Take a trip to Rolla & visit the Rolla Pub. It is very unique & interesting.

As this is Mile 0 for the Alaska Hiway, I expected it to be much busier. The overall feel of the town was welcoming and staff everywhere were helpful and friendly. The visitor information centre was very helpful in recommending attractions.

At first sight it does not look much, however inside is better than it looks. Rooms were large and clean with everything you would expect. We had a small problem of a broken toilet but they changed the room right away.
Location is good for some bars and restaurants, the Dawson Mall and Wal-Mart, and its about a 20min walk into town for the mile 0 start of the Alaska Highway.
Exceptional value considering the price includes a full restaurant breakfast. The staff were all outstanding, without exception and were in the top 10% of all we've encountered in 50 yrs. of traveling. The beds are very good. It's slightly dated but very well kept and clean as a whistle. We cannot recommend the GDI in Dawson creek too highly! It is outstanding.
I booked the location with a search for “pet rooms”. The quoted price was $84.60. After calling and confirming all of this, the property called me again (hours before my stay), saying that they were charging me $135 for the pet friendly room. I’ve travelled a lot with my pet and never experienced more than $10-15 pet charge. This hotel added $50 !
The room was spacious, TV was also a good size, loved that there was an apartment size fridge with freezer instead of a tiny portable fridge like most hotels have. We had free breakfast at the restaurant attached to the office. The staff were extremely friendly at the restaurant, and the food was delicious.

The people who run this hotel are wonderful -- they treat you immediately like family (and in a good way)! The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. While there was construction taking place on the bridge, we didn't hear any of that. The free breakfast was excellent!
What a treat to stay in a brand new stylish hotel, Everything is modern and clean, the rooms are very spacious and well appointed. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishwasher, full size fridge and microwave. Bed and linens are exceptional. Facilities are modern and clean.

The room was very comfortable. There is a guest laundry which we were thrilled about as we have been traveling for 16 days. In addition there was a wonderful sports bar connected to the hotel with very good food and drinks.
breakfast was good, considering it was Covid rules and had to be taken to our room to eat. bedding was good. Love the fact that hotels are realizing that foot thick pillows aren't always comfortable for everyone.
Room plan was quite nice had kitchenette and we were able to save money making food in our room. Breakfast was ample with lots of options. Staff went above and beyond to take care of us.
Everything was fine. Price way to high for Dawson Creek for what you get. Some other hotels much cheaper and just as good or better.
