The property was very charming. We had a room in a beautiful renovated character home. Also the owner took steps to minimize the environmental footprint. We were provided with a French press coffee maker, stainless steel cutlery, china dishes and glass wine and water glasses. The bathroom was very roomy with a great shower and nice toiletries.

The location was central but on a busy street with not much interest. The food was very good, simple (eggs were cooked to perfection) but could have been a bit more creative. We are foodies who were there for the Roots, Rants & Roars food festival so not a fair comment ; )

We loved the overall vibe of Bonavista, one of our favourite place to visit during our trip. People were so welcoming and the site is beautiful! We visited the lighthouse, the food was one of my best meals of the trip.

People very friendly….it’s Newfoundland !!
People very friendly….it’s Newfoundland !!
Lighthouse a must see. Don’t miss the Puffins at Ellison and Mrs Collins in the store that has everything..
The road to Dungeon is too rough ( enormous potholes) to risk a rental vehicle. Likewise Hwy 237

One night is not enough, we wanted to see as much of Newfoundland as we could, and as such, nowhere did we see all of what we would have loved to see. Were we going to thoroughly explore the area, Russelltown Inn would be the first place we'd look to stay!

Bonavista is a true gem and a real Newfoundland experience.
Bonavista is a true gem and a real Newfoundland experience. We’re so glad that we came and met new friends that we’ll probably keep in touch with and come back to visit. It’s the best place to watch whales and see puffins up close! Forget the tours in St. John’s, you can sit and watch puffins within a few feet of you if you go to Bonavista Point, or Elliston (nearby town). The town has the cutest cafes, bars… we probably ate exclusively at Quintal’s cafe and Ragged Rocks though (so I still have lots to try next time!) Bonavista Point and the Dungeon were probably my favourites spots aside from Red Point where we stayed. If you can get a bike, it’s beautiful to bike around and everything is so honest there - leave your bike outside

This is a great place to see puffins, hike or drive magnificent coastlines, visit Provincial historic sites like the Bonavista lighthouse, eat at unexpectedly awesome cafes, tea houses and restaurants and attend events at the wonderful Garrick Theater. If you bring your appetite, telephoto lens, binoculars and come prepared for some wind, possibly rain and roads with just a few too many potholes you'll have a wonderful time!
We didn't know what to expect when we booked this location and I can tell you that it exceeded our expectation. The location was amazing across the street from the ocean and a very short drive to restaurants. Trails and Cape Bonavista Light house was just a short 5 min drive. The bedroom was beautifully kept and super clean. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to make food. Herb and Janice were always available to answer any questions you had. Thank you Herb and Janice.
One of the best hostel experiences I've ever had! Todd and Donna are the true definition of hospitality and go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home. Stayed in their Bonavista hostel for a few nights while visiting from St. John's and will be certainly coming back with my friends! We had everything we needed - from Netflix to continental breakfast and so much more. Hoping to see more of such great and affordable accommodations in other parts of NL:) Keep it up!!
After a very long drive to Bonavista, walking into this wonderful house literally re-energized me. Bright and airy with colorful artwork throughout, vintage/ retro furnishings and fittings ... even a turntable and LPs! And you can't beat the location. You are literally a two-minute walk from Church Street (shops, cafés, eateries). A further few minutes will take you to a pond (Old Pond?) with a lovely circular 1km boardwalk where you can 'get in your steps'.
Aggie was a generous and delightful host. We don't normally stay in b and b's,but staying with Aggie enhanced our visit to Bonavista. She was warm and welcoming, as was her house... and she gave us great information on where to eat as well colorful stories of growing up in the community.. Her cooked breakfasts were excellent too. We would stay again and recommend. Meeting newfoundlanders is one of the best things about visiting Newfoundland.
The master suite is right by the fishing harbour. Great location for walks. The place is very roomy and has everything you need to prepare your own food. Very clean and fresh, lots of room to hang clothes. Nice and comfortable bed. Check-in and communication very easy. We had a fantastic time in BonaVista. We would recommend Miks to any of our friends.
This is a great little cottage in Bonavista that offers everything you'd expect if you were at home including laundry machines, good internet service, one and a half bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. It's a nice cozy place to hang-out inside on miserable days or enjoy the deck on nice days. It's easy to walk to places in town.
It was perfect for my needs, of wanting to visit Elliston for puffins and the many historical sites in Bonavista. A pleasant surprise was visiting two very interesting Geosites within a short driving distance. Overall just a really great experience at Bonavista. The breakfast was excellent including good coffee. Highly recommended.
Century old character home in the quaint village of Bonavista
Room was well appointed and had views of the ocean from most windows
Nice to have the windows open and the ocean breeze filling the room
Down stairs kitchen was available for your use breakfast is not provided
The location, hotel and rooms were all excellent. It was so close to the water and everything in town. The rooms were comfy and were well decorated. We absolutely loved the sitting area in our room. Having access to a kitchen was also great!
Breakfast was amazing and Brittany was amazing with us she is so friendly and informative. I would recommend this INN of a great place to stay in Bonavista. Thank you Brittany for your hospitality. I would definitely stay again.
Aggie is the best. Be sure to make time to visit. You learn so much about the history and life of Newfoundland and it’s people. Choice of breakfast. And the French toast with homemade preserves was wonderful.
Continental breakfast was good. The press coffee was excellent. Each room was lovely and had excellent amenities but... This is not a hotel more like a b and b and this should be more clear on website.
the cabin is very nice, very conveniently located in Bonavista, with a sea view, and a very confortable bed, and there is everything you may need, including washing machine and drier. Very nice hosts.
This cottage oozes charm! Everything is perfect. For housekeeping, the kitchen was amazingly well equipped. Well located near the Puffins, as well as restaurants and for walking around Bonavista.
Charming room in an older annex of the main hotel. The gardens were nice, the staff was friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was great, with nice local products.
