The beds were comfortable. The staff was mostly nice however there was a lady that was always rude, every time I asked anything she looked at me with a rude face pretending nothing was happening.. The bar at the bottom is nice.

La Paz is a big city with a lot of people and many homes.
La Paz is a big city with a lot of people and many homes. It has a high altitude, recommend altitude pills. The city has varying heights, for instance you are going up and down a mountain to get to the other side of the city. When you are on top you can see the bowl with many many houses. There is a cable car to take you from the bottom of the mountain and one neighborhood to the top of the mountain to another neighborhood. There are several beautiful landscapes in La Paz. Valley of the moon, valley of the souls, etc... There is also a lot of shopping in the city.

An authentic South American large city still evolving.
An authentic South American large city still evolving. Everywhere you go you realized this is not for tourists, this is really a nation which has its own identity and you feel it in everything. If you don't speak Spanish then get ready to learn. People very friendly, and living history everywhere. Leave a day for the 2 hour trip to the jungle area for the La Senda Verde animal rescue area.

La Paz: A 3-day whirlwind!
La Paz: A 3-day whirlwind! Explored history on a city tour, felt the passion of a football match, embraced culture in El Alto markets, conquered fear on Death Road, and soared above in the teleférico. Bolivia's heart revealed in a compact, unforgettable adventure.

La Paz is in a unique situation, surrounded by the Andes.
La Paz is in a unique situation, surrounded by the Andes. Its cable car transport system is both practical and a spectacular treat for tourists. It is far better to use this than to use ground transport; the roads in the city are chaotic. The people are friendly and helpful, there are very good restaurants. From La Paz a traveller has access to amazing places to visit, from Lake Titicaca, at over 4000 metres above sea level, to the Yungas, which form part of the Amazonian basin forest system. You have to be careful to have a heart and blood-pressure check before visiting La Paz, as its altitude can be stressful for anyone with a heart condition. But I have been there on a number of occasions, and find it fascinating. The street life and the many local gifts based on alpaca and llama wool are two special features.

Unique setting of the city with striking views and snow covered Illimany on the background. We had one day and spent it driving cable cars and celebrating St. John in the park.

The location is really convenient. Easily reachable in about half an hour from La Paz airport, and even quicker from the bus station (you may be arriving from Uyuni, for instance, by bus). The Mercado de las Brujas (the witches market), one of the main attractions in La Paz, is within walking distance. Many dining options are nearby. The receptionist was friendly, and could speak English. The walls inside the room were really colourfully painted (a bit overdone, in my opinion!).
everything was amazing! the employers were so attentive and pending, always with an smile ready to help us with everything. the breakfast was delicious and cooked at home (eggs, juice of frutilla and a hot drink (coffe, tea,…))
Doña Rosa and José were the best hostess: we missed some papers in our bus to Uyuni and they accompanied, helped and called in all the process.
If you are going to La Paz, don’t doubt to go to the Anami Hotel.
Hotel Sagarnaga was a great place to stay. Centrally located in the old part of town, the hotel was mere minutes of walking from nearby attractions, cafes and restaurants.
Depending on the room, depended on your view, the hotel also had a great breakfast and an onsite masseuse.
We stayed a number of times during our trip to Bolivia, the rooms were always clean and the staff were exceedingly helpful. I would stay again.
This is one of the best hotels I have been in Bolivia. Very cute atmosphere, very friendly & helpful staff. They helped us organizing tours, bustickets including pick-up. Breakfast is included and sufficient. The rooms are spacious with a nice hot shower. Location is suberb with both shops, restaurants and Teleferico within walking distance. Would definitely come back here
- Easily the friendliest and most helpful hosts we had in all Bolivia
- Fantastic breakfast with eggs, cheese, two types of bread (not just toast), fruits and vegetables
- Later check-out was no problem at all
- Communication in English
- clean, comfy rooms & bathroom with warm shower
-> would 100% recommend staying here!
The staff were so so lovely and helpful to me when I was extremely sick during my stay at the hotel. They even went out and got me medicine as I was too ill to leave the room. The room is spacious, the shower is AMAZING (best I had in Bolivia) and the room has a heater too. it’s centrally located near the witches market.
Everything was good. Though in the center of La Paz the room & ambience inside is very quiet. Soft music playing. Building is historic. Staff beyond nice & helpful. Food is genuine Bolivian. Decor, bed, bathroom great. We used their laundry service and all done the same day. Fantastic.
I've visited La Paz, 3 or 4 times already. Each time Bolivian Rooms is consistent. I was given a larger suite for the same price this time, with a bigger spacious bathroom. The staff each time is so kind, helpful and though we are all wearing masks - their eyes are smiling.
It's quiet.
The whole experience was exceptional. Juan and his family run the most wonderful hostel in La Paz. Everything is spotless, the breakfast is wonderful and their helpfulness exceeds many of the places we've stayed at. By far the highlight of our trip to Bolivia!
Extremely clean and comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Reliable good quality room with hot water. Breakfast is delicious and on the eighth floor , overlooking la paz. They also have a taxi service to take you to the airport
Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is unbeatable right on Linares street, close to the main sights of downtown La Paz as well to the Teleferico. Our room was large enough for two adults and clean.
The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. They were always keen to answer your questions and offer suggestions.
I really appreciated the display of Bolivian artifacts, and artwork.
A lovely hotel!
The most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our travels in Bolivia. A great locarion to relax after more stressfull travel days. Good restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
Great design and art overall
Nice rooftop restaurant with an incredible, good lunch for 20 bolivianos and breakfast if you pay 10-15 bolivianos more. very comfy beds with curtains, perfect for a good night sleep.
Very good location, nearby the Bus Terminal. The Owner, Oscar is very helpful! He will sort all your potential questions. Definitely a wonderful option for your stay in La Paz!
The view from our mountain facing room on the 12th floor was awesome. Just sitting on the chair and observing La Paz during all times of the day was what we liked most.
Stayed one more night for our last day in La Paz. The hostel is centrally located near the witches market and steps away from the purple cable car station.
