The town has a fantastic atmosphere and it’s it so easy to move around as such a small city, you can easily be having lunch in old town and then taking coffe in a fashionable shop. Interesting to see the Old Town and new town of Plovdiv. Definitely need to make use of a walking tour to hear about the history etc especially the Ancient Stadium of Philipopolis which runs under the H & M store! We used Plovdiv Trips for two tours out of the City which was well worth it. Karmen and Stoyan were both excellent and knowledgeable guides. Plenty of good eating places and friendly

Plovdiv is a city of contrasts, spanning many centuries. You can't help but stumble across history wherever you go. The centre is largely pedestrianised, making it easy to walk around, with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as shops.
Highly recommend the the Free Plovdiv walking tour which starts every day at 11am from outside the town hall in the centre. Very informative and takes you to all the key locations, giving you a great starting point from which to explore further. Check out the Kapana area for food & drink and the Old Town.

I have stayed in Plovdiv 13 times and will go back many more... It is an important city historically, with around 8000 years of continuous inhabitation. Many interesting landmarks from so many periods of history. There's museums to see, roman stadiums to uncover, a roman theatre to enjoy a show at, historical sites from the neolithic age right through to the Ottoman Empire and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
It has a great restaurant and bar scene, with something for everyone. People are also very friendly. A nice place to relax, eat, and enjoy life for a little while.
Pretty much everything is walking distance of the centre and for the few place a bit further out there are taxis and busses readily available.
We were going to Greece to the coast via Bulgaria from Serbia. As we were running late (horrible traffic at border crossing), we contacted the hotel and received clear instructions on how to check in after hours of reception. We checked in at around 9:15 pm and all worked well! We went out to Kapana district afterwards and the hotel was only a few hundred meters away. Beds were good, parking was safe, and, in the morning, the staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast was good too, and we enjoyed the coffee - kids loved the warm milk!
Welcomed by the extremely friendly and polite owner, who seems to love his job, we got an introduction to the city with stories, honest recommendations and tips. The building and room are well maintained and renovated Bulgarian style including a lot of wood and fine details. And after a good night of sleep with airco and nice beds we started the day with a fresh made breakfast and again a friendly conversation with the owner. We for sure recommend this hotel, the location is ideal for sightseeing the whole city.
I try to stay in this hotel when travelling for work always I can and when there good offers for it. The room is cosy, the beds are very comfortable. The bath is large. Breakfast has changed a little bit since two years as the is not so variable (before it was a 5 stars breakfast), but knowing what the COVID caused to this business is normal. Although breakfast stays comletely satisfactory.. The hotel is located in nice green area with a lac nearby where you can walk around. The place is very quite.
The VIZUALIZA Residence Hotel is a real 5-star hotel which will meet the high expectations for everyone who likes to stay in a luxury ambience & this midst in the nice old town of Plovdiv.
The hotel has been built to a very high standard & very tastefully decorated, they have paid attention to all small details, despite the standard double rooms are on the small side.
We have been a group of 5 people & booked 3 double rooms.
We have enjoyed our stay & deinnitely will come back.
Amazingly renovated old traditional Bulgarian house, melding the authentic Bulgarian architecture with the conveniences of modern interior design. Amazing and friendly staff that truly make you feel welcome. Amazing location (maybe best location if you plan on visiting Plovdiv - next to the historical part of the city and the modern city center, you will be able to reach all locations you plan to visit in 15 min by foot). 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Furnished in everything it lacks nothing and has an amazing coffee machine.
Everything is kept new and very clean.
We always found parking right under the apartment.
Landlord Emil is always available and answers quickly and helps with whatever is needed.
If it were possible to give the apartment 100 stars we would give.

We were treated with a lot of attention. We stayed in the hotel for a week, I have never felt more welcome in any other places.
We had a brand-new room with unique design (in reality it's even better than on the photos!).

The location is 3mins walk from the center, not noisy as it could be in the very center.
I loved the interior design of the entire hotel and my room as well, particularly the matching colors and patterns of the interior and the artistic decoration of the hallways and the staircase. My room was tiny, but perfectly designed for such size. I loved the way the shower and bathroom were integrated in the room with a glass wall. I rarely see such creativity and good taste in Bulgarian hotels.
Great place to stay! Perfect location with place to park. The breakfast was super and the room was really authentic. Worth to stay for even longer. The old town is magical and this hotel is the perfect accommodation for family trip. The hosts are super nice and their priority is you to feel good! Probably the one and only place for stay in the town from now on.
The property is super clean and tidy. It has everything I need for my stay in this second biggest city in Bulgaria. It is about 10 mins to the Plovdiv old town and about 10-15 mins walk to the Plovdiv train/bus station. It is also close to big supermarket LIDL. It is a quiet apartment and also safe. All the amenities described on the booking site is accurate.
The location of the hotel is perfect-10min. walk from the historic old town. and shopping mall even closer. Very important for us was the privet parking available in the hotels back yard. The personal is extremely friendly and the breakfast was excellent-freshly prepared, cook to order with warm genuine smile. Thank you!

It was a short stay, but even we have arrived late reception was manned (is not always the case in Bulgaria at hotels of this number of stars), the room was ok (a bit above the number o stars of the hotel), also they have private parking, even though are in "busy" area of town.
A comfortable, well appointed, hotel staffed by friendly, helpful people. It is ideally positioned close to the Old City and on the corner of the thriving Kalpana area - so easy walking distance to all of Plovdiv's major attractions. One couldn't ask for better!
