I slept all my nights like a baby. The bed and the cushion were very nice and comfortable.
Had a lovely Chinese birthday dinner at RSL. Great variety and service.
Lunched at couple coffee shops,
Saw Woolies and Aldi, even though we did not need them.
Booked for luncheon cruise to Metung, but had to cancel - VERY sad about that. That is a MUST do while there. Easy walking around when weather is good.

Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit. I prefer out of season myself as I am older and on my own and it is quieter at that time. Great eating at the Central Hotel and the nearby coffee shop. (Bloody Good Coffee). There are lovely beaches and plenty of things for families riding tracks and mini golf. I enjoyed the boat cruises with Peels Cruises. The 70k was wonderful and then the lunch at Metung never disappoints. I think they are good value too. A good supermarket and other small shops. There is also lots to visit around the area and not far from Bairnsdale.
Well worth a visit........ weather is also surprisingly good all year round.

We were using Lakes Entrance as a stopover on our way to Sydney.
Very pleased with the area.
It was easy to walk around and had a good array of eating establishments - we had Fish and Chips from one of the local shops. the flathead was fresh and well cooked and the owners were very polite.
This is the case with most places.
Kudos to the Visitor Information Centre and the lady who served us

Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town. We were glad to see that it hasn’t become built up like other popular coastal areas. There are a few good options for food. The beach is beautiful and the coastline goes on for ages allowing you to have really lovely and Long Beach walks. There are heaps of opportunities for nature walks and a nice winery nearby. Highly recommend for a short trip!

There is heaps to do in nice weather with plenty of eateries and cafes. Beaches are great and theres many points of interest within a short enough drive of the main town such as Buchan Caves and the Metung Hot Springs and the old Stoney Creek Trestle Bridge is worth a look too. Its a very scenic place with walks aplenty and fisherman are spoilt for choice with or without a boat.
This is our favourite place to stay in Lakes Entrance. We like booking an apartment so you don't feel cramped. Stayed in quite a few motels/hotels/cottages in Lakes Entrance but as I said before, this one is our favourite. We have one more night for this booking. (We had an unexpected death in the family which resulted in us having to cancel our October holiday - which is why I haven't reviewed as we just came last Tuesday.
Big, clean comfortable room
Recently renovated with crisp white paint throughout, comfty new beds, pillows and bedding, new carpet and new 50" tv.
Nice to have small table and 2 chairs to eat at.
The location is magnificent high above Lakes Entrance with views over the lakes and ocean right outside the door.
Added bonus Kalima Hotel 150mts down to the end of the road serving up great quality food at good prices
Friendly family business, really helpful to introduce lakes entrance and activities around it.
Clean and tidy accommodation that cover what you might need for your stay.
Located almost in front of footbridge give us easy access to main beach and lakes sides.
Feel safe and relax inside and outside rooms any times of the stay, with excellent security doors and gate for compound.
we love this place!! The room is quite cute and VERY CLEAN with full facilities for the family. kids can run around enjoying the nature setting as well as feeding the birds in the morning and possums at night. The owner is super friendly and had good advice / tips for fishing sight-seeing and lots of other things. Strongly recommended and we definitely will book again!
I loved the bush setting, close to the rainforest of Kalimna. We were just a stone's throw to Lakes Entrance with its hustle and bustle and suburban style houses and shops and we could escape all that and return to the beautiful little cottage located in the bird-filled bush. We were cosy in the cottage.
The location on the outskirts of Lakes Entrance in the bush was magical. Peaceful, pretty and 5 minutes to a supermarket. The kids loved the hot tub, and the spa bath in our room and their electric blankets. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of seating in the living area for a family.
Location is very good....shops and cafe within 5 min walk. It was as described and mapped. Room was ok (as seen in the photo). Small kitchen was useful.
I was in a caravan park during my earlier visit to lakes entrance; I would say this accommodation is better in terms of location and facilities.
The 2 bedroom (2 queen beds) unit (farm cottage) was spacious and extremely clean. Beds were comfortable and the heating worked well. It was cold and wet when we arrived so to be able to warm the place up quickly was great. Directions in the email to access the house were clear and accurate.
Rob is an excellent host. Had guide us on things to do in lakes entrance. The property is very well maintained and has an amazing view of the ocean. Had everything in the property that you need to keep kids entertained. Will definitely going back.
It’s clean, in a convenient location and the amenities are great! Fiona is a lovely host. Our family had a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend this place to others who are looking for a place to stay in lakes entrance.
Extremely quiet - I had a room at the back of the hotel which was excellent. Rooms were really well heated and had electric blankets for the bed. Exceptionally clean. Great location. 2 min drive to restaurants / shops.
The Yellow House is in a great location, walking distance to shops, coffee, and beach. It’s beautifully renovated and we particularly liked the outdoor deck in the back which was perfect for meals and chatting.
Old style motel, but clean (most important) and comfortable. No additional facilities provided, only room. Convenient to get to the centre of Lakes Entrance, without being in the middle of everything.
The location is quiet & peaceful and a few minutes drive from the beach and shopping area. We loved the BBQ area, it's beautifully designed with enough space for the whole family!
