The grounds of this property are so well kept. It is just gorgeous here. Breakfast was delicious, as was supper. We borrowed the bikes and visited a few towns via the bike path. The hiking was great right from the property. We were so happy we had the whole weekend here!

The room was with panoramic view of the lake. We loved the balcony. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We loved the Breakfast and the variety of the foods. Breakfast was good, not the best, but good for the hotel this size. Room was very nice and comfortable, bathroom was nicely maintained, fridge (empty) was available for free. There is also a small parking lot for hotel guests. Location itself is in the center of the small town, which is very practical, while the town itself is small and very quiet.

Absolutely a great place to stay with welcoming host’s that a very lovely family orientated that if you need advice help nothing is to much trouble. Rooms are lovely with balcony and views to wow you. Ifs a very comfortable bed best night sleep I have had in ages the whole place is amazing extremely clean in fact I go to say not a bit of dust or mould to be seen. It’s not far from shops bank and the lake and lots to do there, the breakfast is lovely and a wide range of choices and juice and the biggest selection of tea I have see. Definitely top of any places I have stayed the friendliest and cleanest I will definitely be back and definitely recommend without hesitation thanks for making me feel welcome
Very clean and nicely made apartment, it felt like being in a beautiful Austrian cottage. We had no lake view but the lake was a minute walk and the center of town was also very close. There is also easy parking.
I wanted to show my wife Salzburg but the accomodation there was double the price. We decided to stay here and take bus to Salzburg. But St Gilgen and the neighbooring villages (linked by cruise boat) are less crowdy, more beautiful with fewer tourists. Halstatt is also 30 minutes from there
This is a family run business. The hotel/ restaurant is a very nice facility...spotless clean and with a very cozy atmosphere. The breakfast served is of high quality and with several tasty offerings. The dinners were prepared with homemade care, taste and great presentation. The rooms (stayed there a few times) are spotless clean and offer a nice chance to rest, read a book or just enjoy a great sleep. Bathroom was spacious and water pressure was great (something not usual for Austria).
Excellent location. Wonderful lake view from balcony. Familie Stadler were really nice and polite. House was really big. A big sleeping room with a sofa. Two bathrooms with shower. A separate kitchen which is really spacious.. No need to look for a different place, you wont regret to stay here. If you have car, Sankt Gilgen is a good location to go other lakes and places. there's outdoor activities possibilities nearby. Quite and nice beaches with facilities are very close.
Amazing view, brand new apartment, very comfortable and well equipped. The apartment was big and comfortable for a family of 4 with two small children. New baby crib, high chair, changing table and new baby bath tube. Well equipped and new kitchen. Amazing terrace and view. They were building a pool which will be amazing to have in the summer. We really enjoy our stay, and our walk around the town, and the suggestions of the breakfast at nearby hotel with spa access.
The location of the Hotel is excellent. In the heart of town within walking distance to everything. Our room was very clean and the Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. A small refrigerator was provided in the room and we were given a fan upon request to help cool the room since we could not keep the balcony door/windows open due to smokers in the room next to us constantly smoking on their balcony. The breakfast was also very good.
We had the most magical time staying at Seegasthof. The location was beautiful, right on the lake and very peaceful. The hotel itself and room was very homely, clean and the food was delicious as well as the varied breakfast. The staff were exemplary and made us feel very welcome and answered many of the questions we had to ask about Austria. A special shout out to Gabriel!
Staff super kind. Only 15 min walk to the lake with a small river passing by the hotel backyard (nice water flow sound during the night) .. amazing Mountain view from the room's. balcony, great for wine and some cheese with a good conpany.

The hotel and room was clean, very comfortable and beautifully presented. The staff member who checked us in and out was so friendly and helpful, offering suggestions of what to do during our stay and making us feel right at home. The breakfast was amazing, so much food! (A large variety of options and the food topped up regularly.)

We could not get into the room until 4pm.nobody was at the hotel at 2pm. A funeral crowd made so much noise at 9 pm that I had to godown in my underwear making a complaint.
10pm the noise stopped. This was the worst place we stayed.not recommended…

The hotel was wonderful and the location breathless. There were many amenities including bikes to use, paddle boards, a kayak and a lovely dock. The breakfast buffet was endless with delicious breads.
