The setting was like out of a fairy tale, at the base of a mountain with a little creek that run past that could be heard at night with the windows open. We were greeted immediately by the owner and the staff was so nice. The food was excellent both in the Biergarten style outdoor restaurant(there was an inside dining area and bar as well) as well as at breakfast. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. This hotel was easily our favorite place we stayed at during our 2 week vacation of Austria and Germany! Given the chance to visit the area again, we would definitely stay here again!

Location was everything. Right at the entrance of the old town without being in its busy streets. There is everything around you from a convenience store (the spar that somehow happened to be closed most days we were there) to a pharmacy.
Room was big and roomy and the bed comfortable.
The bathroom was also spacious for euro hotels.
The breakfast buffet was also very generous - honestly we did not expect all that much but honestly it was more than enough for most needs.
Radisson Blu Hotel Altstadt is a historic building dating from 1377, located right in the Old Town of Salzburg and only a few steps away from all sights.

The location in the old city was as perfect as you could get for Salzburg; and pretty much everything else about the hotel matched this for quality. The staff were all helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The hotel building itself had the charm and character representative of Salzburg itself. We did not opt for the breakfast, but it looked great.
The Hotel zum Hirschen is Salzburgs oldest family-run hotel, conveniently located in the city center and only a few minutes by foot from the historic old town and the train station.

The apartment was in a good location, away from Salzburg center but an easy drive. Grodig is cute & walkable. Good grocery store around the corner & fabulous fish market down the street. We did not eat out so can’t say anything about the food scene. The apartment was perfect for two. The view of the mountains is good but first floor is really looking onto the parking area. A second floor apartment would give the better mountain views. There are bike trails theoughout the area & bike racks at the apartment.

Nothing much to do in Grödig, but it's perfectly situated for car travels to nearby nature attractions (and there are many within 30 min drive) and for visiting Salzburg by public transport. The village has everything one needs for comfy stay (supermarket, couple of restaurants...)

Bubble Cones is a small family fast food near the junction of Hauptstrasse and Marktstrasse. It is my recommendation for all, who would like to enjoy an interesting finger food in a family room for a good price with a nice service. Just weekends are closed.

We made a family trip around Salzburg, but we do not like to stay in cities, so we stayed in this little village, which is just outside Salzburg. We have visited the Salt Mine in Hallein, which was wxcellent and the Untersberg, using the lift, with a very nice outlook to the area around.
Travelling advice without a car (with six year old): from the airport it was about €40 euro for a taxi on a meter (2024) (~20 mins) (did explore Uber etc but just getting one at 8pm outside airport was best option). Bus from this hotel is brilliant as it’s at the end of the 21 bus route, to Salzburg it’s every 30 mins, sometimes every 20. We got bus to and from hotel for three days and great experience, pretty easy to find where to get it from in Salzburg on google maps - quite a few stops in the city for it.

Minimalistic and small, but nice apartment, equipped with everything two people would need for a few days stay. Excellent location - small sub-urban community 20 minutes to center of Salzburg (very good public transport by bus); close to attractive nature sites reachable by car. Nice view at nearby mountain from the terrace.
Check-in instructions were clear, no direct communication with hosts necessary.
We had an amazing stay in Pension Bergfried. The host is really friendly and accommodating and knows a lot about what to do in the area. The pension is located in a beautiful area with a lovely view and the bus to Salzburg is really close by. The centre of Grodig has a couple of really nice places to eat and grab a drink. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Beautiful Mountain View, it was breathtaking. Great breakfast with coffee made to order. Wonderful host who suggested the Salzburg day pass which saved us a bunch of money (can be purchased at hotel). Easy bus ride to downtown, saved us from having to pay and find parking. Great restaurants within walking distance. Parking at hotel free and easy.
We were so happy to have a living room, a kitchen and a separate bedroom after all of our hotel stays! Anna's place was lovely and comfortable, convenient to explore Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, the Lakes district and Unterberg Mountain. WiFi was good, bed was very comfortable. The trees off the terrace attracted interesting birds.
The Hotel were very good… the staff is veryyy nice… Mr. Mattias and his twin brother were very good towards on our stay… the food and breakfast were amazing… even the Dinner that we order from them are very good and amazing… and above all it was a lovely place to stay… and i will definitely come back and stay longer this time…
Anna was the perfect host, showed us how everything works and was always available for inquiries, the apartment is amazing with fantastic views of the mountains and it’s easy to pop into Salzburg also. Grödig is a nice town with enough places to eat and it’s only a five minute stroll to a good supermarket.
I liked the price point for the size & cleanliness of the room. We met the owner’s dog, who joined us for the delicious dinner on the main level. Bus stop is right across the street, ride #21 for less than 30 minutes and you’ll be in Old Town Salzburg. Owners were very kind. Free parking…top!
Outside of the bustle of the city center but close enough to access Salzburg/untersbergbahn via public transportation. The beds were so comfortable, the balcony was beautiful and the kitchen was well-equipped. The owners were very quick to answer questions and were friendly.
Everything. Perfect property for a quiet vacation. Close to the city of Salzburg but in the surburbs. Great kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom. Unfortunately, it rained and was cold one day to see attractions but it was perfect just relaxing at the property.
Nice place to stay, close to Salzburg and Untersbergbahn (10 minutes walk). Delicious breakfast, nice and helpful owners, safe parking available. Room is cosy, comfortable with balcony, highly recommend.

Our arrival wasn’t at standard time but still we were welcomed warmly, and our room had an extra bed for a kid which is very convenient. The hotel is very atmospheric.
