Snorkelling around Snoopy Island (once the thick algae cleared) was sensational. So many turtles and also a group of black tip reef sharks along with all the usual traffic (Parrot fish, Trigger fish, clown fish, puffer fish etc.). Would love to come here more often (and stay at Sandy Beach Hotel!).

This area does not have walking areas and is more suitable only for relaxing inside the hotel. But a remarkable and distinctive feature of this area is its long promenade of several kilometers, which is suitable for long walks along the sea along the sand. You will see unique and impeccable sunrises.

Al Aqah is a small town, and worth traveling by road from the big cities. The drive through the desert and then through the mountains (literally at some spots - through the new tunnels) is enjoyable and not tiring at all. The city itself is small, however with all basic emergency services for visitors to feel secure.
Hearing crows in the morning was a wonderful surprise. Haven't met a lot of crows in uae.

Excellent hotel with great facilities, green area, nice activities and super cool entertainment program in the evening. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurants are cool but could be less expensive and with a better choice of food dishes.

Need to improve on quality of alcoholic drinks.. whiskey, vodka and beer were of very low quality.
Buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent. Should have added some more vegetarian dishes.
In bathroom, shaving kit and toothpaste was of very very very low quality.

Nice place during Jan-Feb-Mar. nearby hiking areas and long clean beach. Take a food box ( toast/ fruit/ vegetable/ cheese/ .. ) and cooking staff. Restaurants are busy and groceries in the area are not fully equipped and not recommended.
The Arabic style blended beautifully with the environs and felt like a more authentic experience than the more modern and boxy hotels nearby. The property felt like a great combination of old world charm and modern conveniences and comfort. The pool and beach were lovely and pristine and the kids loved the ping pong table and futsal set. we especially enjoyed watching the World Cup games in the amphitheater. The breakfast spread was great and we also enjoyed the Italian and Asian restaurants for dinner.
Sandy Beach does what it says on the tin, don't go if you are expecting 5 star luxury but for a place to go with friends to relax on the beach and then have the facilities to BBQ and eat together, there is really nothing like it in the UAE. Have been coming here for 30 years and not much has changed, but will still be coming back.
Everything about the property is fantastic , the rooms the location and the staff top it all . We had the best 3 days of staycation ever . Right from the reception , to concierge to the restaurant staffs and the cleaners are so courteous and pleasant . Highly recommend this place .. defenitely a 5 star experience .
Love the location. You couldn't get closer to Snoopy Island if you tried. Great beach and pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Aircon in the rooms were very much needed and were very good. Check in and out was breeze too. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making the stay a great one.
Very spacious rooms, recreation area is one of the best on the coast. Very rich and varied breakfast. Hotel staff is helpful and attentive. I liked that even though the hotel is large I hardly met any tourists either in the pool or on the beach.
The hotel is just tremendous. Very chic, well-planned and perfectly designed. The stuff are super friendly and willing to make your stay beautiful. Best hotel ever visited. Beachfront villas are exiting, the beach and the sea - phenomenal.
Stay in this hotel was awesome, location is the best in UAE, very kind personal, nice, large family room, variety of food was excelent, amazing sea front restaurant Bahari grill with best seafood platter, I recommand it.

The food in the restaurant was also good. Service from the staff at the bar at the beach was good. Nice cocktails and good offers.
This is a beautiful hotel and we had a very relaxing stay and loved the facilities and calm atmosphere. Excellent staff and special thanks to Farrukh at the reception, Sandesh at the pool and Jeewantha in housekeeping.
Location although there are many hotel options along that coastline that we will use again in future.
