This was just a little off our path and is was perfect. We felt like this was (and is) absolute luxury after several days walking and staying in basic accommodations. Maria was lovely and she arranged to drop off breakfast for us so we could get an early start. The problem was, we didn't want to leave. The bed was so comfortable, we slept really well. The tub was an added bonus to soak our sore muscles. Everything about it was perfect. The only thing that would have made it better was if someone cooked our dinner for us.
Pontevedra
Pontevedra Railway Station is 19 km from CARBALLO DE PRADO 1900, while Cortegada Island is 24 km from the property. The nearest airport is Vigo, 46 km from the accommodation, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Initially put off by the location, 2km from Armenteira, but they offered free transfer from the monastery. It turned out to be an excellent place away from the crowds in a beautiful setting. Everything was tastefully arranged in the accommodation with TLC. Very happy with the room and the view from it.

This was our favourite stay while walking the Camino route. The flat is just fabulous. Comfy bed, very powerful shower, superb decor - just great all round. It’s above a busy street of restaurants so you can sit and listen to the gentle hubbub or can shut the noise out. If you can, stay for more than 1 day. Lovely owners and a really great town - worth staying a while.
Wonderful and helpful staff. Who gave us a map and gave us lots of recommendations of where to visit and eat! The restaurants she recommended were fab!! We had a triple room, was a little snug but we didn't spend much time in the room Shutters were great for overnight Breakfast was delicious!! Best breakfast we've had for ages! Location was great with everything on our doorstep

The building is a beautiful old convent. Inside it has been completely rebuilt. The original staircase survives and I believe they have plans to convert the former chapel into a refectory. The refurb itself is functional so the rooms are modern and clean rather than characterful. But everything was in great condition and I loved the shutters on the windows. The staff were extremely helpful, recommending restaurants and places for life music. Late checkin was painless and they looked after my bag the next day. It was excellent value.
The location of the property was stunning, the cabins beautifully done, breakfast great and the service exceptional. We were on a camino and our group of 5 were met and dropped of the next day in Santa Mariña. Highly recommend

It was a lovely site for animal lovers. Cats, dogs, horses, a pot belied pig and an ostrich in the grounds. Lovely wooden chalet style building. The bathroom was clean. Nice to relax and sit outside.
Great condition and room size. Comfort of the beds and general cleanliness never disappoint. Central location. As I always stay in this accommodation during winter, there is no outside noise. There's a bar downstairs but the wooden shutters in the room should help keep out most of the noise.
Very friendly and accommodating host / owner, clean facilities and great location - right next to the Camino. My room was on the ground floor, next to a little courtyard (which, sadly didn't get much use, given the rain). I particularly liked the blackout shutters, which contributed to the best night's sleep I'd had in a while. 😴😴😴 Either that or I was very tired! 🤣 Oh, there is also a cosy little fireplace in the lobby!
Beautiful old room in old town adjacent to,and owned by, ice cream shop next door. Room is basic, a nice clean double bed and en suite shower. Room has no glass windows. 2 shutter windows open to main passageway through old town. Similarly door is two old wooden doors so not airtight but good secure lock. Very quaint.
