I had my own tent with me. I was made to feel so welcome and the facility block was very well appointed with lots of items in the outdoor covered kitchen for use. I could have spent a week!

Chalet direct aan Waddenzee is situated in Westerland, 1.1 km from Lutjestrand, 17 km from Den Helder Zuid Station, as well as 19 km from Den Helder Station. We can only reccomend Chalet for Families with kids /Pairs ,etc. We were with 2 small kids. It is an excellent location for relaxing and enjoying the sunset from the terrase. One can walk with a dog, hiking the dunes, biking. It is just 5 m from Chalet. It is quite there. For families with kids: we have visited navy musem (den helden) / Castle (Medemblik). There is a excellent cafe where you can eat or buy fish (Vis van Havenzicht) just about 10 min. drive from the location. We strongly reccomend it too. Just nearby there is a beach for children (Lutjestrand ) with playground and so on...
