Absolutely stunning location. The accomodation was perfect and host lovely. It could not have been better. Stunning sunset from the beautiful dogwalking area - not that we had a dog, it was just a beautiful place to be. Thought of everything and so relaxing. Thank you
Location is excellent, views stunning, surrounded by wildlife. The Barn is gorgeous, the facilities are top notch. What a fabulous place.
Lovely location, just a short walk into Hawkshead village and overlooks one of the lakes! Bell tents were spacious and facilities like toilets and showers were clean.
Property grounds are very nice, we had the dog and was perfect to walk her. Very nice views at sunset and sun rise. Breakfast was very nice, good selection of cooked brekkie.
I had to rate this 10 out of 10 albeit it's not perfect - The location is lovely in terms of being next to the river and having your own private beauty spot (shared with 1 other property but feels private) - It was lovely to sit in bed with a cup of coffee with views of the river, wildlife and mountains. Checking in etc was all really easy, shower and bed great, all the facilities you need just a great relaxing experience and highly recommended. This property really is good value for money
Fantastic location. Wildlife haven. Peaceful, quiet area. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very high standard. Staff were lovely and helpful.
Clean warm room with tea facilities, TV and hot shower. Ideal for the one night we were staying after visiting the zoo. Although I didn't see any reception staff I did speak to them on the phone and they were very helpful.
The breakfast was very good. Our table was next to the breakfast bar table so was getting lots of traffic. This table was too close. Staff were excellent x very friendly and well mannered. The room was lovely. Bed very comfortable. Bath was lovely and relaxing. Veranda was a nice touch. Enjoyed the afternoon having few drinks in the garden.
I was in one of the Loughrigg single rooms, reminded me of my uni days! It's basic, but you aren't paying the price of a fancy hotel. There is tea, coffee, a cosy bed, a telly and a hot shower. The rooms were quiet and looked out onto trees, no no view. BEST PART: You can walk right down to the lake on a private path and take a dip off the jetty (if no boats) or in the bay next door. I had a swim at sunset and dawn and I saw herons and all sorts. Stunning!
