Located in Buitrago del Lozoya, El Esquileo provides accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. This is a beautiful property in an ancient village. Tastefully renovated stone building with modern touches.As we were here early in the season we were the only guests. We opted to stay here & take the bus to Madrid. Worked out perfectly. Although the apartment was fully equipped in every way the kitchen was a little small for cooking. But there are several restaurants a short walk away. Parking was right in front.

Very nice location, hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming! The room was very comfortable and had all amenities that we needed. Would highly recommend staying here if you have a chance!

The apartment was beautiful. Very clean and comfortable. My dogs had the freedom of the garden and the owners were so nice to them even when they wanted to chase their cats 😂 We stopped off for one night only en route from Ireland to Alicante and had a comfortable night's sleep and a beautiful breakfast. The views of the mountains and surrounding countryside are gorgeous. The couple who own the property were so kind and friendly.

The house is newly renovated and really stylish. Beautiful wooden beams and exposed brick contrast with a modern kitchen, bathroom, and furniture. Everything was spotlessly clean and José has left us ice cubes, coffee capsules, tea etc all for our convenience. He was a friendly, knowledgeable and very available host who helped us to plan some walks in the area and learn more about the town.

A very cool place in the middle of the tiny mountainous village of Hiruela, north of Madrid. We are a couple and we had the entire house to ourselves, two floors, two bedrooms, a fireplace, a kitchen, a washing machine and so on. It's a renovated village house that is modern and comfortable with a lot of special character. This was probably the coolest place we've stayed in Spain, initially we planned to stay for one night, but after arriving decided to book another night so can fully enjoy the place. There are few short walks around the village and I did several of them, the nicest one was through the forest and valley/stream beneath the village. It was so small, and maybe because of the pandemic everything was closed, no restaurants or shops, so we had to come with our own supplies but that's not a problem. There were two adorable village dogs that came along with us to the walks, and stayed outside our house waiting for us, which was really fun because we love dogs. The hostess was super friendly, didnt speak English but waited for us in the pouring rain when we came in the evening, and after that we communicated by writing (using google translate), she provided us with timber for the fireplace and was very helpful.
