First of all, the location is like 5 minutes walking distance from the Brighton Pier, very close to the sea and almost anything around you is on a walking distance. Then, it's a nice street where the hotel is based, a really nice clean and tidy house. Steve, the host was very nice and welcoming. For a solo traveler as myself the Deluxe single room is a perfect choice, not expensive and it has everything you need, including the nice sweet complementaries like cookies and caramel candies, a soft drink and water in the fridge. You get a coffee machine with capsules and a choice of instant coffee/tea, milk, etc... I'd definitely consider visiting again the next time I'm in Brighton.

I was in Brighton for a 3 day fair and South Downs View turned out to be the perfect place to stay! Comfortable, spotlessly clean, with 24 access to the kitchen to make coffee and tea and use all the facilities, as well as to choose from a wide range of the uncooked breakfast provided at a time to suit myself. Excellent bus service to central Brighton with the bus stop just around the corner which meant that I could leave my car there, saving on the exorbitant parking fees in the city. I totally recommend this property as the ideal home from home place to stay to relax and recuperate at the end of a tiring day. Karen is delightful and very helpful.

Every moment of our stay was exceptional from arrival to our departure. Our hosts Michael and Paul were both charming, welcoming and lovely company. Our room was perfect in every way, the level of comfort was very high and the attention to detail outstanding from fresh flowers, lovely chocolates, beautiful bed linen, a very comfy bed, soft towels to countless phone chargers. The location is in a prime spot within easy walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and the Pier and other attractions. We would not hesitate to stay with our hosts again it was just so much fun! Thank you so much Michael and Paul 🙂
