SNP- PALMS, a property with a garden, is set in Papetoai, 1.1 km from Papetoai Beach, 1.9 km from Tiahura Beach, as well as 21 km from Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course. Nathalie was simply fantastic. She was very accommodating and prompt to communicate, she called and organised our transfer from and to the airport with Loulou (about XPF 5k - turn left at the "Holy Steak House" to find it from the main road). She drove us to rent a scooter and buy some water. As she owns and runs the Hibiscus hotel down the road with her family (hence the acronym SNP, which stands for the initials of her family members - up to her to tell you which ones ;), she obviously had the experience to set up the bungalow in the best way possible, nothing is missing! There are plenty of silent fans, aircon, kitchen fully equipped (including a fan forced oven), soap for the bathroom (apparently not always common in other private accommodations), very good washing machine, very safe place with an automatic gate, plenty of space to park under a covered space, lovely setting with water views, etc. It is clear that we will go back to this place!

Located in Paopao, Fare Haurevaiti Moorea provides an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. There is a private bathroom with shower in all units, along with a hairdryer and free toiletries. A beautiful oasis with the most stunning view. We had an excellent stay and enjoyed the accommodation, so relaxing and thoughtful decorated. The breakfast (what is offered for a small extra fee) is perfect, a good way to start the day. All in all...100% to recommend, stay at Sarah's beautiful B&B and enjoy your time on Moorea. She has plenty of recommendations what to do and where to go. We will be back one day!

Set within 2 km of Temae Beach and 4.6 km of Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course in Teavaro, Haere Mai I Te Fare offers accommodation with seating area. The host was very helpful and accommodating. We needed to book at rental car at the last minute and the host was able to book us a car the day before we arrived. Breakfast was optional, we weren't sure if we going to do breakfast or not. We had a long day before we arrived, so decided to keep things simple and go with the breakfast which the host offered. It was your usual European breakfast - various breads and pastries, fresh fruit (seasonal), choice of cheese (cheese plate), homemade jams. You can also ask for scrambled eggs, not sure if they're an added cost or not? There's a small communal fridge so you can put groceries in there. So if you wanted to save some money, you have the option of getting groceries and making your own breakfast. Same thing applies with lunch and dinner. You have access to the kitchen, so you can always make your own lunch and dinner. We had the larger room since that's what was available; it's called the Superior Family Room. Very spacious. Very clean. There was A/C which was very welcomed in that heat! Sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids, or you could do 3 adults but the 2 smaller beds might be a bit small... One of the nice things of staying at a Pension in French Polynesia is that you get to meet the local people, as well as get to know other guests who are staying there. The hosts were at breakfast every morning, and there was always a lively conversation with everyone at the table. So it all depends what you're looking for in Mo'orea, if you're looking for something quiet, where you can 'hide' from the world, then maybe a resort is a better fit? But if you're looking for more of an immersive experience and meeting people, then I would consider staying at a Pension. Also have to talk about their 2 dogs, Rex and Gnocchi! They're a bit goofy, very social and friendly. They mostly hung out by themselves, in the common area and grounds, but did enjoy some scratches behind the ears ;)

Located right on the beach, Linareva Moorea Beach Resort is a small hotel in typical French Polynesian style. Guests have free Wi-Fi access and can borrow canoes, bicycles and snorkelling equipment. Beautiful location and garden! Amazing staff who were always helpful! Good breakfast delivered to our veranda. Wish we had stayed longer.

Located in Moorea, 1.8 km from Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course and 11 km from Moorea Lagoonarium, Bungalow KURA offers a private beach area and air conditioning. the bungalow had everything for our stay in Moorea and it's a few steps from the beach. The Host was incredibly friendly and she always helped us with suggestions and recommendations even before we arrived to the island. Highly recommended

Situated in Hauru, Fare Mihiau provides accommodation with a plunge pool and garden views. This is a great alternative in Moorea to the 'too-expensive' resorts. I loved this little efficiency apartment. It is inside a small gated property with the main (separate) house -- your car is safely inside the gate. The apartment is very tidy and clean. It is super quiet. I personally found the bed just fine. The kitchen has everything you'd need. (Perhaps a small paring knife for fruit could be added.) I bought fresh fruits from local roadside stands and used the kitchen for breakfasts and dinners. Made the entire stay more convenient. There is a small grocery/everyday shop a 5-minte walk away. They have lots of prepared foods for snacks or whatever. Go early because they sell out of prepared foods by noon. The host has a kayak for you to use. You can launch the kayak immediately outside the property -- there's an inlet from the lagoon, so it's very convenient.. One tip for Moorea: rent a scooter or car. This apartment is close to everything, but I'm glad I had a rental car. There are scuba & whale snorkeling places, restaurants, and other shops nearby. But, I saw a lot of tourists walking in the hot afternoon sun. Island buses are not frequent. Oh, one last thing. My Fare Mihiau apartment was only accessible from an outdoor stairway. It was no problem for me. It's sturdy and nice. But, keep that in mind if you have mobility concerns.

Offering a bar and garden view, MOOZ LODGE, the local discovery is located in Afareaitu, 1.8 km from Moorea Lagoonarium and 12 km from Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course. Super friendly host! Brought us some fresh avocados and always gave us good tips what to see. And the view tho… incredibly beautiful! You feel like you're in the middle of the jungle! Breathtaking!

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Faré Anaiti Moorea is situated in Iumaru. This holiday home features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. We loved the house and it was in convenient location. The owner was very nice and helpful. It was great to have bikes and kayaks. The beach across the street is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, and kayaking.
