(Buy prepaid card at the reception) Location 10/10 : The location is pretty comfortable with plenty of shop and convenient store in walking distance. Also near carpark.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. This was an exceptional stay. While the onsen doesn't offer a direct view of mount Fuji, we could clearly see it on our drive over thanks to clear skies. When we entered the premises, the staff was attentive immediately. From taking our luggage to making sure we were set up in our room. The room was SPACIOUS, with a lounge area and bedroom with screens to close off sections. The highlight was having our own outdoor bath to enjoy during cold winter nights. Perhaps the most breathtaking aspect of our stay were the meals. We were blown away by our dinner. It was the best thing we ate during out entire trip in Japan (we were in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto prior). We enjoyed a sumptuous parade of dishes that really showed off the local ingredients. We didn't think it could get better, but breakfast the next day was equally, if not more, delicious. While expensive, we enjoyed a serene getaway with our private outdoor bath and excellent meals. Would love to return.

Situated in Fujikawaguchiko and only 1.8 km from Lake Kawaguchi, 貸別荘 ウサギの郷 features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Very clean, spacious, good location. The owner was very nice, he spoke good English and made sure to go over everything and even told us local shops and places to visit. He even kindly offered to pick and drop us off at the local station. Highly recommend this place and we were fortunate to see Mount Fuji fully and had a great view from our room.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the whole experience was special. If you love nature and glamping this is your thing.

Boasting mountain views, Glamping Cottage Kawaguchiko features accommodation with balcony, around 2.7 km from Lake Kawaguchi. The host was great. Able to answer all of our questions and calls 24/7. She also supported us in finding transportation services. Very kind and supportive.

The reviews couldn't have been more fitting. One of the best places we stayed on our trip to Japan. If you don't mind spending a bit of time to get here you will not be disappointed. Fantastic food, amazing accommodation, and the friendliest staff you could imagine. Not all the staff spoke English, but you could easily communicate with Google translate. There are bicycles available to use free of charge, and you can ride around to a nearby lake to get a fantastic view of Mt Fuji. Thank you to the team for making our 10 year anniversary one to never forget. A special way to end our trip to Japan.
