We had such a lovely time spending New Year’s with Annette and friends at her beautiful and peaceful home. Annette is an incredible host and talking about NZ life with her might just have been the highlight of our trip :) Her home is extremely comfortable and was very conveniently located for us as we travelled down toward Bluff/Stewart island. The location was perfect - close to Gore but in the peaceful countryside. While close to the owner's house, our cottage was private. The layout of the cottage was efficient and felt roomy. The the furniture and fittings were of high quality. We enjoyed sitting on the tiny porch to drink our morning coffee and listen to the rustle of the breeze in the trees.
