Gringo and Sonia were incredible hosts, they went out of their way to make sure the stay was comfortable, clean and exciting. We would get knocks on the door to see toucans in the trees and monkeys playing right outside our back bedroom window and it was an unforgettable location. We truly felt like part of the family when we were staying here. We met their grandchild, and their cat would come and hang out with us when we invited it to, we were very at home here. One of the rooms had air conditioning which was perfect for my parents, but having the windows open in the other bedroom for an afternoon nap with the pouring rain and the animals right outside was also very cozy.

I have found a piece of Paradise and experienced a true Tico hospitality at Cabinas Yafeth. It is located at Playa Caletas in the remote part of Osa Peninsula, between Drake Bay and Corcovado National Park. There are three cabins personally built and cared for by the loveley couple, Christian and Virginia, and their 12 year old son Yafeth. They live in the premises along with their extended family. Our largecabin was the newest with AC, modern toilet and hot water shower. Comfortable bed and pillows, and clean towels. All the wonderful meals were served in the dining area. Tea bags and hot water is offered along with filtered cold water dispenser. Cerveza is availavle to purchase. If you want to be in such a place, you must Stay here. You will wake up to the chirping of the birds and crashing waves at the beach. The cabinas are not oceanfront, and the beach is just 1-2 minutes down the path.

Sebastián was very friendly and helpful with getting to and from the lodge as well as booking the tours. The room is very spacious and clean. You can hear the howler monkeys, birds and insects in the night, and you feel closer to nature.

The whole place was perfect! Groceries and restaurants within walking distance. Near all of our tour pickup spots. Beautiful ocean view. The air conditioning was a blessing as it was so hot and humid. Vincent went out of his way to provide a mangrove tour. Will definitely stay here again!

We loved staying here! Elmer is extremely nice and helpful. He is a kitchen chef and his food is great and you can see how he loves cooking. Living in the middle of the jungle you can see animals and untouched nature where you would otherwise pay much for a guided tour to Corcovado. The River right in front is great to fresh up. You can go hiking to waterfalls, through his huge property of 120h and he rents boots and tubes for the river. Would come back anytime and recommend to any friend dearly!

It’s a small place with a nice garden, therefore it’s pretty calm. The room’s decoration looks very good. Really loved the vibe of this place and the food they serve is delicious. The owners of the place are very nice and helpful! They have two lovely dogs as well. You can book tours directly from them and they have a laundry service as well.
