La Spezia
Offering city views, Bed & Boat Holiday is an accommodation set in La Spezia, 1.2 km from Castello San Giorgio and 700 metres from Technical Naval Museum. It is located 1.2 km from Amedeo Lia Museum and provides a minimarket. The boat offers rooms with air conditioning, available on site private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. It was my and my family's first time on a boat and it was much better than expected. I saw some negative reviews, so I had low expectations, but I was surprised. I loved the structure of the port with restaurants, bars and swimming pool (you pay for day use). For me, the best part was the experience of staying on a boat and getting the feeling of what it's like to "live at sea". Next time we will go sailing. If you are looking for something super comfortable, stay in a hotel. If you are looking for an EXPERIENCE, stay here. The boat moves a lot during the day, but at night it is very calm. Tips: - To discover the Cinque Terre, cross the bridge that connects the port to the city and you can choose between taking a boat or train trip. - There are many options of restaurants and shops in La Spezia, it is worth taking time to walk the streets of the center, even at night there is a lot of nightlife. - I don't recommend the boat for people with reduced mobility, as it is a little complicated to get from the pier to the boat (but he said he would fix that).

Beautiful hotel, tastefully decorated, the views from the terrace were gorgeous. Lovely restaurant, beautiful decor, excellent freshly cooked food. Wonderful staff, friendly, welcoming, helpful. The girl from reception, went over and above to be helpful with train times and helping us to book a taxi to Levanto, to catch an express train to Pisa airport for our plane home. The same receptionist gave us advice on a trip to Portofino which include a boat trip to a monastery. Her local knowledge was extensive.
We really enjoyed our stay very much. It was a great base from which to travel to the other villages both by train and by boat. The creek running in front of the apartment provided a soothing sound at night. A quiet accommodation in a busy village.
Magnificent location. The views are beautiful. Perfect for exploring the Cinque Terre. The boat excursion was great. You see the coast the way it should be seen, without being surrounded by crowds. Levanto is lovely. The people at Faraggiana were helpful and friendly.
The view from the terrace is spectacular - truly breathtaking. Jepe, the innkeeper is a joy to be with. He is so helpful. The property is a 5-min walk to a beautiful little village with plenty of restaurants and a harbor with boats to take you to the Cinque Terre towns. Fabulous location. Great value. But you must be ok with steps. We loved it!
The location is perfect as it's a 5 minute walk from the ferry or bus drop off. Walk out the door and you are in the midst of shopping, restaurants and sense of a distant time way back. From the room there was a great view of the harbor to watch the boats and people go by. Our host Alicia was very helpful pointing out the city attractions and a number of good restaurants close by.
if wanting to visit La Spezia to go on boat tours of the bays then ideal
The photo with the boats is the view from my window!!
The views out that balcony window of dinghies, boats and yachts in the morning and evening was fab. Loved the location in the historical part of this town.
The unique boat stay was very special and our host was exceptional, providing excellent references for La Spezia but also for our next destination in Genoa. Breakfast was fine and we will return again.
