Really nice comfortable room, quiet, amazing private onsen, great location.
A very nice quiet family hostel. The common private onsens are excellent and very nice after touristing around Nikko. The location is also very good, a bit far from Nikko station, but at a walkable distance from all the relevant places. It also has a convenience store very close and the buses stops are also close.
Really clean, great location (if you have a car), lovely and quiet, had everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive by message when we had questions. Some nice restaurants and a good supermarket within 15 mins drive. Easy to get to Nasu Highland Park, Nasu Animal Kingdom and the Nasu onsen area.

Private, well maintained Onsen on the property of the hotel that can be used once per day. Spacious rooms, well-equipped and clean facilities in a quiet area that is still close the several heritage sides and walking trails.
Yoshi was a great host. Helped us to set up a great day to Senjogahara and beyond, good recommendations for meals, bus timetables etc. The place is very central but quiet. Enjoyed the photo, Yoshi is an expert, (not our usual thing). So happy.
Amazing staff, very comfy beds, always clean! Sadly no kitchen, but microwave, hot water, coffee and tea free and you can order meals for cheaper price than in town. Right by the forest, 30 min walk from temples and city center. Beautiful location. I really enjoyed it!
Very calm environment, quiet and dark at night. The room and living space is comfortable and clean. Near to bus station (3 mins walk) and Chuzenji Lake Bus Terminal (10 min walk, more bus back to Nikko station). There's also a small local supermarket near the hostel, offering cheap bentos and food ingredients. Owner is a guide, so you can learn more about the environment of Nikko.
