What a wonderful place with a beautiful garden and a hammock area. The location is perfect if you want to relax and get away from a noisy city. The beds are very comfortable. There are several restaurants around and you can find a supermarket nearby. The garden is lovely to chill, and the stuff is amazing. Everything is clean, and you can do laundry at the hostel. The breakfast is basic and enough to start your day. You can also use a full equipment kitchen and hang out in a lovely decorated living room. The area is safe. They also have two cute dogs. You can easily get a motortaxi or bus to get to the city center. You can ask the stuff to get a contact to book a tour. You're very close to the airport too. I really enjoyed my time here so much that I extended my stay and came back after a tour in the Amazon.

We arrived late at night and Wilson (hope I'm getting that name right) picked us up from the airport, made us feel very welcome and provided us with some much needed snacks seeing as shops were closed and we were hungry and thirsty. Bed was very comfy and the two fans were appreciated! Breakfast next morning was delicious 😊 Would recommend this place to anyone.

The family that owns Casa Mafaldo is wonderful. They are extremely friendly and helpful. The son and daughter speak English. The location is two blocks from Plaza De Armas and the boulevard. Very safe and secure. There is a supermarket next door which was convenient. Iquitos can be very loud with all of the motorcycle taxis but Casa Mafaldo goes deep into the block, away from the street therefore it is much quieter than most places. The rooms are basic (no a/c but a a good fan) but clean and if you are travelling on a budget and don't want to stay at a hostel, this is your place
