If you request any occasion while booking, they take a extra step to make the occasion bit special. They provided pass for local transport and the cable cars with in the city. The place is couple of minutes away from the public transport, cable car station.

We loved the atmosphere of this hotel. It was very intimate, charming, and well-appointed. The hosts, Sabylla and Jorg, were amazingly welcoming and were always available when we needed something or had a question. The historic room we stayed in was so cozy and functional that we really didn't even want to go out. The updates to this very old hotel are just the right amount of 'modern', but still have nice nods to the past; tasteful and authentic. The common areas of the hotel are like the inside of a jewel box; there are so many architectural details, curated surprises, great pieces of art and eclectic furniture, that wondering around each day brought a new discovery. We enjoyed the breakfasts served in the morning. There were many food options to choose from and everything was delicious and fresh.
