200 metres from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools in Porto Moniz, Studios by Aqua Natura Hotels features accommodation with access to a sauna and hot tub. The location is great, studio is spacious and well equiped. Nice facilities and lovely breakfast with beautiful view. The staff was very nice, polite and helpful. Casal da Penha Apartments offers accommodation within 600 metres of the centre of Funchal, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a microwave, a toaster and a fridge. The apartment had everything that I needed for my stay, clean and well appointed. The restaurant downstairs, owned by the same people served excellent food and offered a discount for those renting the apartment. The host Maikel was excellent, attentive and generous, allowing me to stay for a final night free of charge when it became apparent that I had made a mistake with my departure date. If I return to Madeira, I will definitely consider these apartments again. 10 out of 10
Machico
Situated within 200 metres of Sao Roque Beach and 300 metres of Banda d'Alem Beach, Fort Bay Suite Apartments features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Machico. Beautifully renovated apartment right in the center of Machico. While Machiko is not a touristy destination it's a perfect place to stay if you want to access several hikes in the area and we loved getting the local flavor of the town which is much less touristy than Funchal. The apartment was perfect in the best location one block from the water with lots of restaurants within a block, including a delicious coffee shop across the street. Completely new and clean. Everything was thought of down to the last detail, including a care package of local goodies. The host was easy to get in touch with and very responsive. I initially was concerned about comments regarding construction, but while there was some construction the noise did not bother us at all.
Ponta do Sol
Boasting a rooftop pool and views of mountain, Blue House is a recently renovated apartment situated in Ponta do Sol, 70 metres from Lugar de Baixo Beach. Great location, close to the Ponta do Sol. You can hear and see the ocean right from your balcony. Beach is about 100m away, you only need to cross quite a busy street. There is also a nice, glazed private pool on the outside terrace as well as some sunbeds and parasols. Parking is free, on the street. We did not have any problems with street parking there.

Our hosts were very kind and even gave us suggestions regarding transportation and nearby attractions! The apartment is in a great location, right next door to shopping center and a 10-minute walk from the beautiful downtown area. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable 5-night stay.

Sarah was a super friendly host who welcomed me in the apartment and gave all kinds of tips about Funchal and the area. The apartment was very clean, spacious and had a comfy bed and a really good shower. The parking below the apartments is a big advantage. Location is perfect, it´s a short walk to the restaurants and city centre. I didn´t use the pool or roof terrace that much, but it has an amazing view and definitely great to have on the hot summer days.

We simply loved it and it way exceeded our expectation The view was spectacular und having a glas of wine, sitting on the balcony and watching the cruise ships from a distance is just holiday. The apartment is very well equipped, even coffee capsules, water, fruits and delicious bred has been waiting for us. But for us most strikingly was the warm hospitality of Andrea and Alex, the siblings running the apartment house. You feel so welcome and we were so greatly taken care of.Thank you😊

Sijainti erinomainen. Asunto viihtyisä ja siisti, kauniisti kalustettu. Mahtavat näköalat. Tilava parveke.

Loistavalla paikalla, kaikki palvelut lähellä, bussipysäkki, taxi, ruokakaupat, hyviä ravintoloita. Asunto iso (2 hlöä) kolme parveketta, runsaasti säilytystilaa. Oma autopaikka.
Upeat näkymät tästä ylimmän 6. kerroksen päätyasunnosta, lähes uusi rakennus - laadukasta rakentamista, erinomainen kunto ja siisteys. Huoneet tilavia. Talo ja naapurusto rauhallinen ja varsin hiljainen. Julkiset kulkuyhteydet Funchalin keskustan ja asunnon välillä hyvät. Monikan kanssa kommunikointi sujuvaa, muuta henkilökuntaa saatikka ”palveluita” ei tässä asumismuodossa 2 viikon aikana juurikaan ollut, eikä niitä tarvittukaan.
Sijainti oli erinomainen ja asunnossa oli mukavasti säilytystilaa. Host oli erittäin avulias ja antoi vinkkejä matkalle sekä oli apuna aina tarvittaessa. Asunnon ympäristö oli äärimmäisen rauhallinen ja allas oli mahtava kaikin puolin.
Sijainti oli täydellinen, keskustassa mutta kävelykadun varrella joten liikenteen melua ei ollut ollenkaan. Asunto oli kaunis, avara ja valoisa. Asunnolta oli helppo kävellä meren rantaan ja ravintoloihin sekä bussipysäkeille. Sao Tiagon linnoituksen takana oleva ranta oli suosikkimme, sinne käveli reilussa 10 minuutissa.
Huoneisto oli tilava 2 kylppäriä ammeilla ja hyvin varusteltu keittiö astioita ja kattiloita etc. oli riittävästi. Parveke oli pitkä ja sinne pääsi joka huoneesta. Vieressä paljon hyviä ravintoloita ja irkku pubi myös kulman takana. Kuitenkin itse asunto oli tosi hiljainen ja meteliä ei ympäristöstä kuulunut. Autoilevalle löytyy parkkipaikat. Wifi toimi hyvin. Bluetooth kaiutinkin löytyi. Omistaja ystävällinen ;) ja sai whats upin kautta nopeasti kiinni kun tarvitsi.
Huoneistossa on hyvin varusteltu keittiö ja tilaa kahdelle riittävästi. Siisti huoneisto lähellä palveluja.
Pidin kaikesta! Paikka on todella siisti ja kaikki on uutta ja puhdasta. Vieressä on useita ravintoloita. Asunto sopii myös pidempiaikaiseen vierailuun, sillä huoneistossa on kaikki tarvittava ja keittiö hyvin varusteltu. Hinta on erittäin kohtuullinen.
