Overlooking the Waimea Inlet, The Grand Arden Monaco Nelson is an English-style resort featuring 23 rooms as well as ample free parking and free WiFi. Good location, but not in Nelson (the location is actually Stoke). The restaurant next door at the Honest Lawyer was great, and our dinner at the Brick Eatery was terrific.

Centrally located between Nelson and Richmond, Greens Motel offers self-contained studios and apartments with kitchenette facilities and a patio or balcony. We only stayed one night at the Greens Motel as we departed early the next day from the airport. It is extremely convenient to the airport and was clean and tidy and did the trick for the one night. All good. Would definitely stay again in the same situation.

Very clean room and towels. Instructions inside the room and for check-in were clear and helpful. Parking was convenient and right outside the room. The host very sweetly left the heater on so that the room was cosy when we checked-in late at night. They also left a small bottle of milk which came in handy. Beach towels were a plus.
