Villa Walton Bed & Breakfast offers accommodation within a historic homestead, established in 1904. Such a gorgeous and comfortable house and beautifully decorated for Christmas too which made it feel really homely. Neil and Sue were lovely and their wonderful dog "Ted" is so friendly! The lamb we had for dinner and the cooked breakfast next day were both amazing and it was definitely one of our favourite places visited throughout New Zealand.

Matamata Lodge is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Matamata, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. Everything about this property is amazing and if I had of known how amazing this accommodation was we would have booked for 3 more nights. We are recommending this property to everyone know. Hosts were just beautiful and had us interacting with their farm animals. The attention to detail was amazing. I highly recommend ❤️

Featuring a garden, pool with a view and inner courtyard views, Fantail Garden is located in Walton. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Nice & clean, very friendly hosts & overall a great place to stay for the night. Loved that they had nice bathroom products as I forgot my personal ones & didn't have to use cheap single packets like other places. Also my daughter loved feeding the baby lambs in the morning!

Located in Matamata in the Waikato region, Peria Hills Cottage features a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. No breakfast, but there was milk, bread, butter and tea and coffee. It had everything you need and the location was great. It was extremely well signposted.

Matamata Central Motel is a 20-minute drive from the Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tours, where parts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy were being filmed. Beautiful motel, super clean and comfortable. Great location.
