What a beautiful place to stay. All the craftsmanship in the house is lovely to see and experience through the story's of the great hosts Jen and Dewi. They where very welcoming. The room was really nice tidy and clean, also the bathroom. We joined for diner with another guest and Jen and Dewi. This was really nice and relaxing. Great food and vibe all evening, with lovley conversations about similarities and differences between Dutch and Kiwi culture/life. We really enjoyed our stay and should actually stayed 2 or 3 nights. To explore the area a bit more. It is really a nice get a way place, we loved it! We will be back some day

Matamata Lodge is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Matamata, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. Glenn & Mark were fabulous hosts everything was exceptional! Wld highly recommend!!

Featuring a garden, pool with a view and inner courtyard views, Fantail Garden is located in Walton. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Nice & clean, very friendly hosts & overall a great place to stay for the night. Loved that they had nice bathroom products as I forgot my personal ones & didn't have to use cheap single packets like other places. Also my daughter loved feeding the baby lambs in the morning!

Located in Matamata in the Waikato region, Peria Hills Cottage features a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. We could see the cows in the paddock when we arrived and even from the lounge area and some of the bedroom windows. The area is also quaint and quiet with great sunset views. The place has everything you need for a short stay and a short drive from Hobbiton and the Blue Springs.

The Red Shed is a recently renovated guest house in Matamata, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Host was super nice. She had made homemade bread, cupcakes for the kids for christmas. The location in the farm was awesome. Feeding the sheep by the kids were a bonus. Loved it.

House was large, well appointed and very quiet. The bed was firm and the most comfortable I had slept on during our trip. Location is convenient to town, with a car, and to Hobbiton. We enjoyed our one night's stay here.

Matamata Central Motel is a 20-minute drive from the Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tours, where parts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy were being filmed. Beautiful motel, super clean and comfortable. Great location.
