Overlooking the Varangerfjord, the eco-friendly Ekkerøy Holidayhouse is located on Ekkerøy Peninsula. It offers self-catering accommodation with fully equipped kitchens and tiled bathrooms with... Lovely property near the Kittiwake colony and situated perfectly between all the great birding areas in Varanger - it's just a short drive to the airport, Vadsø, Vardø, and Kiberg. We had the eagle house and it was absolutely amazing with views from the living room over the Kittiwakes and the ocean. There is free parking and a great hiking path just behind the house. The house is very well equipped and perfect for cooking meals, making coffee, laundry, etc. Beds are comfy, the curtains are blackout for long summer nights and the area is so quiet (except for the birds of course, but it's wonderful to hear them all day!) The host was incredibly friendly and provided us with lots of great advice about the area. Highly recommend staying here, it's one of our favorite stays of all time!

Try your luck at popular king crab fishing while staying at Scandic Vadsø. Enjoy the marine environment and beautiful scenery, combined with Vadsø's vivid cultural scene and many festivals. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very nice and helpful. Central location.
