Featuring a fitness centre and a garden, Machrie Hotel & Golf Links is situated just outside Port Ellen. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The hotel is located in a charming location, surrounded by green fields, mostly arranged for golf, and in the distance you can see the sea. Although the hotel is designed primarily for golfers, I have nothing in common with this sport, but I still felt the energy and joy of being part of this atmosphere. The diner was very tasty and presented in an very elegant way, the restaurant staff very kind and polite. Breakfast was diverse and delicious, served in an place with a beautiful view of surroundings.

I got an unexpected upgrade, and the staff were really amazing. I had a night flight and they let me leave my bag to go explore during the day and were happy to let me lounge there until it was time for me to leave for the airport. Will definitely stay again if I’m ever back.

The Trout Fly Guest House offers accommodation in the centre of Port Ellen, minutes from the ferry terminal and only 3 miles from our local airport. The owners are super nice, it is clean and delicious breakfast.

Cala Sith Guesthouse se găsește în Port Ellen, la aproximativ 2 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja White Hart și la 2,2 km de Plaja Kilnaughton. I can’t say enough nice things about this place! We booked rather last minute and it was the only place left in town. We weren’t expecting much but boy were we surprised! We had a room with a detached prive bath which was clean, conveniently located and much easier than it sounds. The room was so quiet and comfortable. By far the best part was the staff!! A rather large storm came through, canceling the ferries and forcing us to change plans. AJ was SO helpful with weather, ferry schedules and even packed us a breakfast to go as we had to leave early. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends.
