A new shopping plaza is across the (not so busy) street with a target and availability for many other stores. Hopefully Walmart and Old Navy would move in ;)

This is the best place for families! We loved it so much that we extended our stay even though our next trip was prepaid! Wan't to go back as soon as possible. Great breakfast, great pool (my kids didn't wan't to get up and go to the parks) and great staff!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (especially Tina who went out of her way every time to ensure a wonderful stay)! The room was immaculate and comfy! The hotel is conveniently located about a 5 min drive to Universal (or 15 min walk), and close to everything else you need.
