We are retired and full time travelers (for 6 years now). Every once in a while a stay will REALLY feel like HOME to us (we no longer have a home since losing it to a wildfire in California in December 2017). Baltina Parc Transfagarasan was easy to find. Right off the main road. Parking is easy. Being greeted as if we were long lost family by the sweet hostess was a wonderful feeling. She explained with GOOGLE translator that they had a wedding party the night before and was still in the process of cleaning the communal kitchen and dining area. We said no problem then my husband jokingly asked “do you have any left over cake?”. Yes she did. And next thing we know, we were being served cake - for the three of us! Plus, she poured three glasses of Afinata (Romanian homemade blueberry liqueur) and exclaimed “Noroc!!” (cheers). Such a special moment. Our little ‘cabin’ was stunningly clean, comfortable and came with amazing views from our own covered porch. I loved seeing the haystacks, orchard and gearing the clucking chickens. The common kitchen had a great espresso machine with all coffee and tea fixings supplied. It was lovely to spend the morning drinking coffee & tea from our porch. WiFi is great. There is absolutely nothing except perfection about this stay! Trust me, I know good stays from bad stays. We spent almost three weeks in Romania and this stay is the most memorable for all the right reasons! Do not hesitate to stay at Baltina Parc Transfagarasan!!

The host was super friendly!!! We arrived very late (after dark) and all the grocery stores were closed. The host brought us some groceries to cook dinner and brought us cake as well. We tried to pay but they refused to take the money.

It was in the countryside and we liked the drive through the village. The property has nice views 360. The room had a great balcony and we liked having the door open at night. Everything was clean and the bed comfortable. Kitchen had everything, although we just made coffee. Liked the grounds. We were treated to the fragrant locust trees, which were flowering. Enjoyed talking with the host too!!!
The location is beautiful, at the end of a village and into the woods. Fresh air to be enjoyed from the porch, grills ready to be used and hot bath and sauna. Staff was polite and helpful. Inside the house can be found everything you need, from kitchen supplies, blankets, fridge, microwave, tv set, robes, slippers and pillows. The house is very nice, entirely of wood. Heating was good and also enough outlets for our gadgets.
La Strada Boutique Villa was the perfect stay for Pitesti ! The central location, great room and friendly hostages made our stay great!
Unexpectedly nice place, luxury and spacious rooms. Big and conformable bed. The breakfast was not very rich, but enough and very delicious. Eggs are made by request, so it was fresh, warm and according to the taste.
It is one of the best houses I have stayed in in this region. Great location, very clean, very nice owners. The yard has all the amenities. I felt like I came to my grandmother's village for summer vacation))
Villa Zia has a unique atmosphere to it - it's a living, almost breathing old building. The upstairs terrace is huge and surrounded with greenery. I can imagine living there... Also, there's a well-equipped small supermarket two minutes up the street that was open even at 9 p.m. where we could buy locally baked (as opposed to packaged) bread just before closing time.
This is not just a place to sleep. This is a once in a lifetime experience in Romania. You will be picked up at a parking lot by the owners and they will bring you by 4x4 car to a secret place in the mountains. The container has everything you need for luxury camping. You can cook your own meal. In the evening you can make your own bonfire. If I would live nearby, I would come more often. Keep it like this. Just two persons all alone.
The village feeling
We like everything! The location is unique, in the heart of Pitești. Parking is free of charge and very secure behind the hotel. Breakfast is awesome! The receptionist is very, very kind! The room is extreamly clean, spacious, and very cosy! We strongly recomment La Strada Boutique Villa- amazing architecture of the building. Don’t waste your time to search for anything else in Pitești, just trust me that it is the best place in the city! Muțumesc mult, thank you and we’ll be back!
