Surrounding Marvao and Castello de Vije well worth a look. Can't recommend this enough especially for families. Kids loved the pool, the animals and the space!

It has been one of our best holidays all around Portugal in the past 1.5years. The warm welcome by the owner Donna Vera and jumped into help when we had a car problem. Breakfast was spectacular with Donna Manuela delivery to the door with warm bread and cake and much more! Loves it! It is a place to recharge and read books and enjoy a nature walk. Take a boat to row down the river and back. It is a place to unwind from all screens including mobile calls. It is a proper de-stress place! The swimming pool! the quality of water! Jacuzzi with the trees around. Oh oh don't forget to lie down on the outside beds to count stars. The moinho we stayed was renovated with great details and lots of care. A jacuzzi inside as well? How cool is that! Top notch! We did not have time to check TV or make phone calls. Just enjoy all these water activities keep us busy and happy. Many thanks again take care until next time! Sara and Bruno were lovely! They made the whole experience so much better. The house was big, clean and had everything we needed. The pool and the outdoor space was great aswell. Being surrounded by nature and animals was amazing. We´re defintelly going back!

This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Outdoor seating is also available at the holiday home. Great communication with host and staff. The beds were comfortable and queen size. Great location. Homey.

Casas da Estação is located next to the train station of Beirã – Marvão and has Marvão Castle views. Each of the air conditioned apartments includes a rustic décor and a private patio.

The apartments all include a recently-renovated kitchenette with a ceramic cooking hob. A seating area with flat-screen cable TV is also provided. Central heating is standard, and each comes with a bathroom with heated towel rails. The property features a small water reservoir. We’ve been going to Casas da Estação almost every year. We keep coming back. The property is beautiful, the staff is amazing and Beirã is just perfect.

Villas at Abegoa feature a wooden décor and a patio with garden and mountain views. They also include a shared washing machine and dishwasher. We stayed at Quinta d'Abegoa's apartment, Casa do Souto, which is very cosy and ideal for two people. Everything is really well thought out so the apartment felt bigger than it actually was. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The outside space is beautiful - we loved sitting out, listening to the birds and the bells from the sheep, while enjoying the views of the both the castle and over towards the mountains and Spain. We made the most of being able to walk to restaurants in Marvao (although it is uphill all the way!) but we also cooked at the property - the kitchen is tiny but is very well-equipped and has everything you need to self-cater. Our host, Rosa, looked after us extremely well, bringing us breakfast every day, and nothing was too much trouble. We love the area around Marvao and will definitely return for another stay at Casa do Souto.
