Both the grown ups and the nine-year-old agreed we would have liked to spend our whole holiday here if we could. Two nights was not enough for this fairy tale. Fantastic service, amazing rooms surrounded by wonderful nature, great view and lovely terraces. The lovely host provided a hot pizza oven and home-made pizza dough for us to make pizza on the terrace. A wonderful experience. A warm table grill was equally nice the next night. The host was much more helpful and accommodating than could be expected. And sent us off with lots of great tips that even made the rest of our journey better.

Hida is a magical little town and this lovely apartment is the perfect base. It is situated along the canal, beautifully designed with traditional decor and modern amenities. A gorgeous breakfast is delivered each day, and the host is more than generous with helpful advice and special treats. We didn’t want to leave!

Guests will have the entire property to themselves during their stay. Chitose san is really the highlight of this beautiful property! She's very kind and helpful and always cheerful. She gave us some really great recommendations. The property is typically Japanese yet luxurious. It has very thoughtful little touches and great coffee (Nespresso)! While some folks have commented the breakfast is ok, I thought it was quite nice. It's not lavish but its a nicely assembled bento.
