Waking distance to the local village 10 min. walk. Recommend the pub. Nice place to use as a base to explore the surrounding areas. We would happily return!

Most of all, the setting and the view is beautiful. I loved the bird songs the sheep across the valley, the horses in the pasture next to the house. And the house was cozy and cute.

Great location for getting around. Very clean and cozy, well equipped with everything we needed. Nice comfy bed. The shower was amazing. Plenty of parking. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Joanne was lovely, with great communication before our stay. It was a pleasure to finally meet her. Happy to recommend this property to family and friends. Would definitely stay again! 😁

Cottage Retreat near Peak District and Chatsworth House is situated in Tansley near Matlock. Chatsworth House and The Peak District National Park are close to the house. Guests staying at this holiday home have access to a terrace. Wow this was a top little find. There is nothing the host hasn’t thought of. And the lovely gifts around the apartment for us on arrival were fabulous. The cleaning was impeccable and the whole house had literally everything you thing you would need. It was cozy and very comfortable as well as quiet. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Parking is very easy to find on the side street and very close to house.

We loved our overnight stay, the rooms were cosy and luxurious with great decor and luxury toiletries. We chose the Charcuterie board at lunch with garlic Parmesan fries and olives, the best sharing board I’ve ever eaten. The breakfast was generous and cooked to perfection, glorious smashed avocado and chilli and poached eggs, a veggie full English too. We tasted the micro brewery lager brewed on the premises, a fabulous stay! Well done, we couldn’t find one fault. We will be returning soon.
The atmosphere of the pub is excellent and staff incredibly friendly. Nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything specific. We didn't expect 5 star luxury at the very reasonable price we paid, which meant we were not disappointed with anything. Breakfast was delicious especially the full English. Room/bed was very comfortable. . Perfectly placed for Chatsworth and surrounding villages/walks. Wonderful stay anyway.
The holiday village and grounds were very pleasant and relaxing. First impressions the cottage was nice and well equipped. Nice quality bedding and towels. Pretty location overlooking the lake.
A lovely little apartment that offers everything you need. It's located right in the city centre in close proximity to the park and some shops. Great to have the private parking spot and the little seating area outside. The furniture and equipment did have a luxurious touch and were in perfect condition so I'd say 'The Luxury Apartment' definitely deserves its name. Great instructions for arrival etc and in general very attentive and caring hosts.

While the hotel is tucked away, its a great spot to stay while walking around the area. Village really pretty and easily accessible walks round with history in the village. The accommodation was luxurious, staff so friendly and accommodating. A good value meal but the breakfast was exceptional - cooked breakfast served on a Derbyshire oatcake. Excellent coffee and fresh croissants.
Lovely, cosy and comfortable retreat set in beautiful countryside. Bed a good size and comfy. Slept really well. Great location with walks on the doorstep and only a 10 minute walk to the pretty village of Foolow where there's a good dog friendly pub. Would stay again.
The location was great 5 min walk onto village. Pubs shops, restaurants, great fish and chip shops. Staff at the retreat where great, very wellcoming and friendly. Room was excellent very fun and great for family's and big kids like us haha.
Nice hotel outside Chesterfield and close to M1 motorway. Rooms are located in the main building and also in separate buildings containing three or four rooms. Ours was in one of these villas and was spacious and comfortable. There is a beautiful spa with all the usual facilities. We had a massage treatment which was excellent. The restaurant was good and our meal delicious. Ample parking.
