He also invited us to an evening in the village explaining the history of Nieul sur mer which ended up at the property. A lot of fun. Very comfortable spacious apartment/gîte with lovely outdoor area. Beautiful pool but alas while we were there the weather was too cool to swim. Bus 11 from La Rochelle is an easy ride to the property. Note. It does not run on a Sunday.

Great location & easy to walk to the beach. Plenty of bikes to borrow at the property to explore this beautiful island. Fantastic apartment with plenty of indoor & outdoor space overlooking the pool. It was really hot when we were there, the pool & hot tub were an added bonus.
