Big property at the great location. Spacious rooms with comfortable modern furniture and equipment. Big and comfy king size beds in all bedrooms. Nice bathrooms. The property was spotless, very clean, updated to great standards and very well decorated. Can't really fault it from this point of view. Good communication with the host and overall a good stay for us. Beds were comfortable.

The view from the villa was breathtaking. Very helpful staff. Carla was an amazing host and Marcelo gave some tips regarding wine tastings. Thank you for welcome presents. Two swimming pools and nice breakfast available. Place for quiet relaxation.
I spend about 3 months a year staying in hotels around the world on holidays. Quinta do Bosque is one of those rare hotels/villas where u can’t find fault! Everything superb. Beautifully decorated, outstanding breakfast, comfortable mattress, soft sheets and they also provide a set menu for dinner (changing daily - local produce) which was fantastic. Thank you so much for having us, we will be back!
Every part of our stay was brilliant. The staff couldn't do more for us and very friendly. We had booked a room with a private pool and it was fantastic, a completely relaxing little haven. We ate a few times in the evening at the restaurant which is a set daily menu of 3 courses and we also did the on-site wine tasting which I would highly recommend. The other thing we did was order the picnic one evening which was lovely, all freshly prepared and delivered in picnic baskets to our room.

We had a private room off to the side of the main house next to the pool. It was quaint and just perfect! The view was priceless. We were able to choose the breakfast brought to our private patio each morning and everything was delicious down to the fresh squeezed orange juice. We highly recommend this iconic villa in beautiful Duro Valley. Found a lovely quinta for wine tasting at St. Teresa winery just a short drive away.
The location was perfect. The view from the villa was fantastic. We had a excellent stay at this villa. It was very quiet. The breakfast was really nice. Our host was perfect. We have never had a host like this before. Helder was so kind and always there for us if we needed something. We will definitely go back and we can hardly wait.
The Casa was very beautiful! The building was full of charm and the rooms were very comfortable. Ik loved the room with a very luxurious bathroom. We had a 3 meal course with wine and port. It was all home made and served in the beautiful garden. We loved it! The host Joanna was very friendly and welcoming. I love to come back one day!
If you want to get away from it all for one or a few nights the Casa is a great location. Nestled in a small village (narrow roads!!!!!!), it overlooks the Douro valley. The host is a wonderful lady and we highly suggest you join the community dinner. Had some lovely home-cooked meal with a couple from Quebec. The staff are awesome, especially if you speak a bit of German. The grounds are ample with lots of plants.
It had an amazing view and was very clean and comfortable. As it’s located at the start of the Duoro, it was very easy to explore the other towns and villages. Helder was also a great host.
Casa d'Alem is really an unique find - a former portuguese farm transformed in a wonderful mansion with beautiful rooms, amazing garden + terrace and a pool with a view. Joana is really caring and wants her guest to feel like home. Thank you for this wonderful stay Joana!
