We were greeted by the house manager. She gave us a tour of the property and answered all of our questions, offered her contact information in case anything came up while we were there.

The main thing I liked about this place was that the hosts are TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. I had rented a car, but St. Lucia is a really hard place to drive, particularly at night. When I reached close to the place, I accidentally got my car in a ditch in the drain to the side. The host's sister, the lady in charge came and searched for me late in the night and then organized 4 strong guys to push the car out of the ditch onto the road. She was FANTASTIC. She was even great in the small matters such as leaving the AC on and bottles of water, which most places in the Caribbean don't do. Even on the second day she was responsive to assisting me. I very rarely give a perfect 10 score and write in such detail, but this experience definitely justifies it.

The Balenbouche estate feels like a place from a bygone area. The grounds and the house are picturesque, and a very different experience from modern hotels.
Host was lovely and super friendly / kind, breakfast was good but I thought it was included in price and only realised when final invoice arrived that it cost $15 per person per day.

Our four-night stay at Belle Etoile Villa was absolutely unforgettable! The highlight had to be the breathtaking views of the Piton right from our balcony—it felt like a dream waking up to that every morning. The apartment itself was beautifully designed, incredibly spacious, and furnished with great taste. The bed was super comfortable, making it hard to leave each morning.
A special mention goes to Calixto, the host, who was warm, friendly, and always willing to help. He made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We truly wish we had more time to stay and enjoy this little slice of paradise.
One thing to note is that a 4x4 car is essential for reaching the property and exploring the surrounding area. The rugged terrain adds to the charm, but you'll need the right vehicle to get around comfortably.
All in all, we couldn't recommend this place more and can't wait to return!

Amazing host Frances. Takes care of the place almost single handed, very responsive, represents local community well. Generous hospitality. Opened up her house to us to watch the cricket world cup semi final. Made local mangoes available to us when she heard that we liked them! Felt like we were living with the locals in Laborie. Wonderful little village with great beach, and warm people. Thanks to mama Tilly who made custom vegetarian food for us. View is among the best on the island. Staying down south was a good idea, but needs car.
Located near the beach in a small fishing village, being part of the community and not in a typical tourist area,
Laura was very helpful and Jay gave us some good tips. Local buses run regularly from the village to Vieux Fort and other villages.
This apartment is in the middle of the hustle and bustle of laid back village life, you get to watch the comings and goings of the locals from it's balcony.
Laura is lovely and on hand when needed (she immediately showed up with a bottle opener when we needed!) We were made very welcome.
Everything, the apartment is very clean and spacious, has everything we needed. the balcony has an amazing view to the sea and the town, and great sunset views.

Great place to stay in a real caribbean village and very fairly priced. Everything you may need is there and it´s very clean too. Just a short walk into town with all those friendly and welcoming people (it´s amazing: you will be greeted every time you meet someone or just walk on by ..) and nice places (Mama Tilly´s is a must). On top of that Aunty Anna is an absolute fantastic host, always helpful and makes you feel welcome right from the start. We really loved staying in Laborie and especially at Juju´s!
This property has everything that you could want in terms of facilities, it is so comfortable and a very short walk from beach and town. Aunty Anna is so helpful and Laborite is a wonderful hidden gem of a village
Beautiful location in a local village with a few amenities, the cafe is good and a few yard bars but not many restaurants. Best to get supermarket food. Hosts helpful and caring. It's more traveller/boho style than lux hotel, good value and stunning views.
We stayed here for 2 nights in August. Very easy to find, in a quiet secluded area but a 3 minute walk to the village with all the shops, restaurants, bars and beach nearby. It's a very clean, fully equipped first floor apartment with panoramic views from the balcony of the Caribbean sea. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of towels are provided. In the mornings we had the beach entirely to ourselves. Highly recommended.
I'm already thinking about my return to Sunny Palm Villas. It's located minutes from the amazing village of Laborie which I love. The views from the property are stunning. From the balcony I could do some work on my laptop, chill and exercise while looking over the hills and ocean. Brunetta was super accommodating, always on hand to answer any questions but gave upmost privacy.
The room was very spacious and had everything I needed.
I'll be back for sure!
