Very convenient accommodation is the Paleochora area. Easy access to the beach (1 min. walking), a few taverns nearby, just 6 min. from the town by car (easy road). Our house was spacious with all the essentials (nothing luxurious). The kitchen was big compared to other vacation apartments, and it has two bathrooms. Each house has a private swimming pool, the sunbeds were very comfy.
The best: the access to a sandy, shallow and quiet beach, ideal for small kids.

This place is amazing. The apartment is modern and comfortable, and has a lovely outdoor seating area. It is a few minutes walk from a beautiful small cove which we had in the mornings completely to ourselves. The host was very welcoming and sent some great recommendations for the area. You must have a car to reach sand beaches (nearest is Elafonisi, 20-25 min drive). Nearest supermarket at 10 min drive and closest taverna at 10 min walk (Gialites).

It's an exceptional place , such an awesome location with a magnificent panorama of the mountains and the sea!! Our cottage was very cosy , comfortable and full of light.It's also very private,you practically don't see or hear the neighbours. Thanks to mosquito screens on the windows we could keep them wide open and there was a great air flow in the cottage , we didn't need aircon. Our kitchen was well equiped and the saucepans and pans are really good quality. We also loved the possibility of early morning hiking right from the doorstep on one of Chania trails to Azogires , the landscape is very special and powerful. The road to Paleochora is easy and Paleochora itself is a lovely place with lots of ambience and blue flag beaches great for swimming.Extra bonus for vegetarians - really good vegetarian restaurant ThirdEye. Special thanks to the owners for a very generous welcome fresh fruit bowl and to the super nice English maintenance woman. We spent there 10 days and definately could stay longer.
