The house is very nice and spatious, and has a large terrace. It is close to the beach. Mary, the owner is a very nice lady and an artist. The whole place has a cultural vibe. Amazing place, great for a group of friends or a family. Spacious and lovely! Two bedrooms have a sea view and either a balcony or a terrace, and two of the bedrooms are maisonette bedrooms (extremely fun for kids I'd say) facing the street (not directly, there is a small courtyard in front of the house) with a shared balcony. The street sounds are not bothersome in the maisonette bedrooms and you hear the sea in the other two bedrooms. The balconies and terrace are furnished and great for breakfast with a view, the beds super comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the garden a dream. George is kind, helpful, accommodating and responsive, and made sure we felt welcome from the first to the last moment. There is direct access to the Amoudara Beach via a small gate at the end of the garden and it takes less than 2 minutes to have your feet in the water. There is a bus stop to Heraklion right in front of the house and shops, too. It's really a superb location and accommodation and we are looking forward to returning in the near future.
